Severe Discussing Frost's Firing

Can't be in all the meetings but could be in different ones every day.
Yeah, but that would be pretty obvious. Severe most likely got told this stuff by someone in the AD - assistant coach, GA, staffer, something. Pretty safe bet that they'd be able to tell if he was in a different position group meeting or if he was just absent.

I meant that he wouldn't go to any but he could move around between meetings.

Yeah, that would still be pretty obvious if that was the case.
I'm not sure what you think I'm trying to say but it's definitely not what I'm saying.

The HC doesn't need to be at position meetings. Let's assume Frost never goes. If you're an assistant and you're in the meetings every morning at 6:15 or whatever. Frost rolls into the building around 7:30. You might think he could show up every day at 6:15 too and rotate around meetings or work on the game plan or whatever. You might be pissed and voice your disapproval of that situation.

You could even replace 7:30 with 6:30 and that might be enough for people/a person to bitch that he's "always late".

The last one. Avoiding a mess in court and potentially poisoning the well for future candidates. I think there's knowing he was derelict in his duties and then being able to prove it in court to the degree that you could invalidate a contract
Or you know, all of this be a little more exaggerated than what the actual truth is. It sounds to me like he was definitely not fulfilling all of his duties which seems obvious given the on field performance, but let's not go over the top here. There's no way a player wouldn't have recorded something and came out with it if some of this stuff was true.

You'd think that a guy supposedly giving it everything he's got and coaching for his job and his assistants' jobs would be a little more involved than that, no? I could see how what you're describing would rub coaches and players the wrong way.

Yeah I'm just completely making up a speculation where Severe has "legitimate" information that doesn't contradict with waterboy and @alt f4 first hand account.

If I was going to put money on something I'd guess that someone told Severe that Frost isn't putting in enough hours and Severe extrapolated that into Frost is late all the time.

Could be. Doesn't really change the answer to a hypothetical though

Doesn't really contradict waterboy and @alt f4 if we're talking about missing meetings and activities that are technically pre-practice. Just extremely unlikely that Severe is going to twist "not putting in enough hours" into "late for practice", and unlikely that he'd even say anything unless it came from someone legit.

Not a practice story, but there's apparently a late for a NIL event story told in this.

Listening to coaches talk about the grind in the NFL might be where they’re getting “coming in late”. Raheem Morris had dinner at Mike Tomlin’s & immediately after it was watching film & prepping for the game, to the point Morris unexpectedly passed out it was so late only for Tomlin to wake him to get back to the office at 5. You hear the stories about how much the coaching profession is a grind & maybe Frost showing up on time when it’s mandatory, is coming in late. I can see a scenario where Frost learned how things were gonna work in the spring & checked out

It will all come out in the end. It always does. It's hard for me to believe there is surprise here right? If you just go by the sheer volume of rumors that were out there...and let's say that 50% of those were just idiots piling on or making stuff up...and the number is half wrong, hell 75% wrong...that is still a lot of really stupid shit.
This is it. I’ll say over the years of the ScoFro era it was the amount of rumors that led me to believe something was going on. Do we believe all of it? Hell no. Before frost you’d hear stories. Those will always be there. But the volume of stories from Scott’s was impressive.

For me it was probably the recruiting stories and player stories I tend to believe the most. There was just to many of them.

I don't know if the rumors are true....but I will say this....

If you look at the body of language used by Turd (and others), not only recently but as well as back to when Frost was told to make staff changes along with a renegotiation THEN you couple it with the rumors floating around then it paints a certain picture.

Rumors: He is late, disengaged, distracted, unfocused. Neglecting recruiting. Neglecting relationships with the existing roster.

Play along with me here...

Early on last year Turd hears these things, maybe even some assistants come and say hey we have a problem. Turd investigates and meets with Scott. "Scott, WTF?" says Turd. Scott deflects and says he is too busy and being pulled in too many directions. Turd gives him the benefit of the doubt and realizes that his contract is long and expensive so decides on renegotiation and offers Scott some help as long as there are a few staff changes and Scott is put on a PIP. Aftera all if the real problem isn't Scott then Turd can help him delegate some responsibilities, block him from some unwanted distractions and the performance should improve ....right?

Turd holds a press conference and says things like "Take things off of Scott's plate" and "We need him to be more of a CEO" type.

Fast forward to now. Same problems rear up. Turd makes the big change and mentions the word "Accountability" a few times. Damon Benning mentions similar things and says "Scott needed help from himself"

Reading between the lines the vocabulary used by those close to the program seem to lend credibility to the rumors.
