The last one. Avoiding a mess in court and potentially poisoning the well for future candidates. I think there's knowing he was derelict in his duties and then being able to prove it in court to the degree that you could invalidate a contract
Could go either way. Could mean that most of this stuff is bullshit. Could be that Turd would rather pay the buyout than rock the boat.

The way Turd emphasized a couple times that “Nebraska always fulfills our contracts” sure made it sound like a message he was sending to potential head coaches.
One of the selling points we’ll have if we get in a bidding war is our AD is a football guy who is true to his word. This stuff can make a big difference if it comes down to School A vs School B (in a recruiting hotbed)

And Trevs smart he's not going to drag a former Husker Hero through the mud and all the negative PR that will goes with it. Give him his money and get him out of there so they can get started on the rebuild process.

Hell, I want to know if Frost made every team meeting in Dublin at this point. There was the one guy who said he heard about Micky bitching about Frost skipping a team meeting.
What's more believable, Frost doing the shitty/lazy thing or Frost doing the honorable/right/punctual thing?

Like I don't even like taking PTO unless me or my wife or daughter are essentially dying, and this millionaire getting everything he wants can't show up to his own practice on time? Assuming that stuff is true. Come on
