I meant you have a month at least before you really need it.Dammit. Is what it is. Should have started this a few months ago. I have a couple I need to replace and dig still so I suppose I’ll just keep going to keep the grass wet for now

We went with B&W Sprinklers…like them, cant Remember the costReally really hoping I can get a good system installed within the next few weeks while it’s still not super warm yet
My last house was a 1/2 acre with no sprinklers. I lost the battle every year.In ground sprinklers are probably on a 5-7 year plan for me. I have some other projects higher on the list.
As for now, I just run for hoses to different areas and have an automated timer to run in the early morning. Not ideal but it does it’s job.
Got some pre emergent down a few weeks ago but realized my spreader doesn’t spread as wide as I thought. I have some nice stripes in areas.
It doesn’t help that each neighbor surrounding me does not care about their lawns and are 90% weeds. My last house was a 1/2 acre with no sprinklers. I lost the battle every year.
I still need to get some dirt trucked in for my back yard. I killed off the old grass and cleared it, then realized just how bad the ground was. Holes from old tree stumps, old post holes, holes from where the previous owner's dog liked to dig, and areas that don't drain very well. Want to get that done and then seed in the fall (a year later than I was originally planning to).
Meanwhile, I'm also planning a privacy hedge around my back yard. I want to do a mixed hedge, something that looks more natural than just a solid wall of all the same type of tree. (Also don't have to worry so much about a disease or bad weather taking out the whole thing.) Planning to get a ChipDrop and mulch the fuck out of the perimeter. They just dump a ton of wood chips on your driveway for free. Just gotta make sure you understand what you're getting yourself into...
You happy with their system overall? We went with B&W Sprinklers…like them, cant Remember the cost
I have a mix of dog piss stains and nitrogen burns in the back yards. They’re small, but annoyingIn ground sprinklers are probably on a 5-7 year plan for me. I have some other projects higher on the list.

I got 2 neighbors around me with A+ yards. I'd consider mine B+ at the moment, but I'm in the game. Need to take the next step.I detached a couple weeks ago then put down the 1st step of crab grass and weed control that Menards has. I’ve used it before and works really well. I never know when the right time is to over seed. My wife’s grandma has a few broken heads she needs fixed but waiting on have her sheaf put it before she gets them fixed. I’m also tilling up a massive garden this year but haven’t done it yet because I’m wait on a carburetor for the tiller. I’m jealous of my neighbors yard so I want to get mine up to snuff but it’ll take a couple years
In the fall.I never know when the right time is to over seed.

I think it’s Kentucky Blue grass. I live in Campbell Nebraska which is near the Kansas borderWhat kind of lawn do you have? Warm season grass or cool season?
really happy...the company has just the owner and he's hired like 4 or 5 dudes since we've been with them. BUT they do a good job, fix what we need fixed timely, We have them turn them on and shut them down. You happy with their system overall?
I have 4 total bids next week. Waiting on one call back to make it 5really happy...the company has just the owner and he's hired like 4 or 5 dudes since we've been with them. BUT they do a good job, fix what we need fixed timely, We have them turn them on and shut them down.

Ok thanks @Toe. We have 3 small dogs too so I have some spots that have burned and aren’t coming back very goodKBG generally doesn't need to be overseeded because it spreads on its own. If you want to try, though, late Aug/early Sept would be the time to do it.
