That’s a pretty gun. Very pretty.

I’m giving up on my builder grade Bermuda. It’s just fucking trash.

Had someone come out and give me an estimate to kill, level and lay down some tahoma 31 in late December or early January. Pumped to get it going next year

My grass sucks in my backyard. I was gone for a week for work and forgot to turn on the sprinkler timer in the back for almost two weeks during the drought here in Swimtown, so now my backyard looks like shit.

Anyone have any suggestions for a lawn repair seed or mix I can sprinkle on it?

I'd just try and water the shit out of it for a while and see what that does first.

Just finished mowing... Yard is so thick and green. I started using Biochar tgus year a week before fertilizing. I'm told it takes 3-4 years to build up in the soil, but it seems like it's working. I use a commercial fertilizer and my neighbor bow gets his from the same distributor and my yard looks fuller and greener than his, so I'm assuming it's the Biochar.

Here's a pic from the back yard. Pool was put in last year and sod was laid in October, so had a couple of spots of winter kill, but it's repairing itself nicely...IMG_1686.jpeg

When I had my fence done 3 years ago, I took a little bit of a discount offer from a reputable local company on facebook, dude ignored the dig before you auger rule, apparently that's a rule, right next to the gas line and popped that bitch on a 100 degree day. My wife and newborn loved having to open the windows with OPPD and the Fire Department outside checking things out.

Fuck that. We went with a local family owned company and we will see if they take the dirt piles away with them, but overall they did a real good job and only hit sprinkler lines where heads weren't flagged because the idiot instal company put them 2.5 feet past our property line

Fertilizer question. So I used Scott's 4 step system from Ace this year, instead of going with my original Grass Pad plan. Ace had a deal that was cheaper than Grass Pad, so I jumped. Maybe it's the sprinkler install in June, and my issue with the vole right now, but boy the yard as a whole just doesn't look as good as last year. But it could just be my brain thinking it's the fertilizer instead of the mole and new sprinklers.

Anyone know if Grass Pad stuff is better than regular Scott's or if I'm being paranoid?

I like Grass Pad but I can't imagine the fertilizer is that significant of a difference.

You would be surprised. The stuff you get from the hardware stores has a lot of filler in them. On our old house, I had always gotten fertilizer from Home Depot. Once I started using commercial fertilizer, our yard looked 10 x's better.
