Give me his number so I can text him that We are back a few hundred times this week. Most recent text to me a few minutes ago was that he is sick of Nebraska fans saying "we are back" because we beat UTEP. I told him we are not back, because of that, and I have yet to see or hear a single person say that.
Similar thoughts here. In the other thread before it got derailed I was going to do my own assessment by position of where I think we stand. But I couldn't bring myself to engage more in that thread.dufster4real said... (original post) Some thoughts before the game:Going to be a fun test for our CBs. Neb has some interesting, TALL options out wide but I certainly like the odd...

lol at going unknown on positions they are clearly terrible at. He (and probably most of CU fans) is definitely setting this up so if they lose it will only be because it was in Lincoln and not the play/talent on the fieldThis is probably the most myopic thing I've read this week:

So here it is (just my opinion sometimes with insufficient info)
QB: CU
RB: Neb (unil we prove otherwise)
OL: Neb (Until we prove otherwise)
WR: CU (not even close)
TE: Unknown (don't know anything about their current TEs)
DL: Tied (I lean Neb but I am bullish on our DL and in the 2nd half of NDSU they got stout against the run)
Edge: CU (not even close)
LB: Unkown (not totally bullish on our LBs, do like Bentley and hope 43 comes into his own, but I don't know much about their LBs)
DB: CU not even close
Environment: Neb (will be sold out and loud)
I am biased but leaning towards Klatt's take on the game. Tough matchup on paper, but our elite players may be the difference makers for us to squeak out a win.

lamar jackson spin move td vs fsuThis is really a dumb comment. Hunter might be the best player in CFB and if so he probably should win the Heisman.
He'll probably have 3-4 massive plays (TDs, INTs). But he's going to have those every game this so long as he doesn't get injured. But CU is going 6-6 at best. I've never seen a "Heisman moment" take place in first week of Sept. This is just kind of a dumb comment by your buddy.
Hunter's going to have Heisman moments every game this year. Much like Ndamukong Suh had Heisman moments every game for us in 2009. The question is, will voters give him the award? For Suh that was a no. And he was on a 9-3 team and he still didn't win. Hunter is who is he is (probably the best football player in the nation)...really just comes down to if the voters are down or not given he'll be on a 6-6 at best team.

We are so back after beating a vastly underrated UTEP teamMost recent text to me a few minutes ago was that he is sick of Nebraska fans saying "we are back" because we beat UTEP. I told him we are not back, because of that, and I have yet to see or hear a single person say that.
Was going to tweet it, but never hit sendWe are so back after beating a vastly underrated UTEP team

It is true that matters more head to head battles but was just trying to an "objective" assessment of the strength of each team as opposed to who will win each battle. But on that argument I would say the following:S2SBuff said... (original post) I'm not sure their O-line is better than our O-line - but at the end of the day that's not what matters. It's if our D-line is better ...

Mostly agree except for 3. CU had good pass rushers on the edge but the interior of their front 7 including the LBs are a decided weakness of their team. I think inside running is going to be a big part of the game plan Saturday.Boyd Cohen

1) CU Pass vs. Neb DBs and edge rushers=CU by a boatload
2) CU Run vs Neb front 7=Neb leads by a lot most probably
3) Neb Run vs CU front 7=Give the nod to Neb but it could be close
4) Neb pass vs CU DB (and edge rushers)=CU leads (Raoila is talented but has never gone against the speed of our edge rushers nor the NFL level talent we have at DB)
did he do much against us last year, i can't remember because i've blacked that game out of my memoryThis is really a dumb comment. Hunter might be the best player in CFB and if so he probably should win the Heisman.

3-73 as WR, 4 tackles on defense. He struggled early on offense if I remember.did he do much against us last year, i can't remember because i've blacked that game out of my memory
We also beat the shit out of him in the run game. Might have been a personal foul on our side but definitely close to it.3-73 as WR, 4 tackles on defense. He struggled early on offense if I remember.
Great stuff. Sometimes are fans are a bit on the rose colored glasses side, but they are straight delusional. This is probably the most myopic thing I've read this week:

This just isn’t true. I might get crucified for this but Folsom was louder for the Nebraska game than Memorial had been in awhile
Yep, and Miami 2014 & the Alex Henery 57 yarder game. I’ve probably missed a grand total of 10 home games since 2010. There was like no old people in the entire stadium last year in Boulder, I felt hated (I didn’t think there fans were too bad, talked a lot of shit but so do most drunk college students) the atmosphere felt more hostile than probably any I’ve felt at memorial. And it was LOUD but I would agree that in the “meaningful games” it would be pretty comparable to the CU game. I also think if we are winning this weekend it will be the best crowd of my life. Nebraskans might hate Prime more than they hate CU and that’s saying something.Dude Memorial gets loud af for meaningful games. Were you at Michigan in 2021?
