Yep, and Miami 2014 & the Alex Henery 57 yarder game. I’ve probably missed a grand total of 10 home games since 2010. There was like no old people in the entire stadium last year in Boulder, I felt hated (I didn’t think there fans were too bad, talked a lot of shit but so do most drunk college students) the atmosphere felt more hostile than probably any I’ve felt at memorial. And it was LOUD but I would agree that in the “meaningful games” it would be pretty comparable to the CU game. I also think if we are winning this weekend it will be the best crowd of my life. Nebraskans might hate Prime more than they hate CU and that’s saying something.
Definitely agree. Memorial is going to be shaking if we’re playing well.

This just isn’t true. I might get crucified for this but Folsom was louder for the Nebraska game than Memorial had been in awhile

To be fair, CU's coaches have been known to be full of shit. So he's stretching the truth at least a little.

AND....have you ever been in Memorial for a big game? When there's a big game it can get really, really loud in Lincoln. I'd argue that hasn't happened since 2014 Miami, or maaaybe 2021 Michigan. But if we become a winning program, the big games in Lincoln will change that narrative quickly.

Yes, I’d say at its very best memorial is about the same as it was in Boulder last year. But I think this Saturday beats them all.

Memorial gets much louder than Folsom
I mean I’ve been at basically every big game in the last 15 years at memorial and I was at Folsom last year. I guess on average yeah I’m sure memorial is much much louder. But Folsom last year was insane when Nebraska played there.

Might have been the loudest ever at Folsom, it was impressive for them. But Memorial is just bigger and louder, it's going to be juiced Saturday night. Great, great for visiting recruits.

Here is a list, not sure how objective it is. LINK

Folsom at 19, Memorial at 14.

So you still think that Memorial at it's best is about the same as it was in Boulder last year? Or do you think Memorial is louder at it's best than Boulder was last year?

Pretty comparable yeah, Folsom was absolutely rocking last year, but I also think there best has happened once, where we have 4 or 5 games that were comparable. And I think this weekend will probably blow them all out of the water if we win.

It's 85K - 90K compared to 55K. And it's not like Nebraska is shaped like a bowl - in the ground. Talking to you Michigan. Memorial holds in sound much better than CU's stadium.

I might be a homer, but I'm not buying that Folsom is just as loud.

Plus everyone at Folsom has to pause the noise every few minutes to hit their bongs

It’s the difference in a lot of young people vs a lot of older people. I’ve had this conversation with someone else on here who told me they went to a lot of Oregon games and it was the same way there. They haven’t been good for very long, so they have a younger fan base & it makes for a very raucous crowd. I was shocked when I got to my seats, I expected like 30-40% Husker fans but it was probably like 15% and absolutely hostile af.

Here's the thing. The last time I brought my son who's in his 20's turned to me and said the old people are making more noise than the younger people. I realize that's a data point of my section only, but it was notable and pissed me off that I was working so hard. My buddy who's also in his 50's can also get rather belligerent and LOUD.

I'm not saying you're wrong necessarily, but pause for a moment when you're at a game and look around. I mean REALLY look around and observe.

Too many times people blindly say...
- Young people loud and raucous
- Old people sitting and quiet

It is true that matters more head to head battles but was just trying to an "objective" assessment of the strength of each team as opposed to who will win each battle. But on that argument I would say the following:

1) CU Pass vs. Neb DBs and edge rushers=CU by a boatload

2) CU Run vs Neb front 7=Neb leads by a lot most probably

3) Neb Run vs CU front 7=Give the nod to Neb but it could be close

4) Neb pass vs CU DB (and edge rushers)=CU leads (Raoila is talented but has never gone against the speed of our edge rushers nor the NFL level talent we have at DB)
He's got to be trolling

I look around quite often. Almost all older people. Some do stand and cheer but still not the same as a college student who’s been drinking since the sun came up. I don’t sit near the student section but other than small children, I don’t see many 17-25 year olds.

College students drinking since the sun came up are passed out and/or puking on themselves.

This is a dumb thing to squabble about.
