Who all would be interested in doing a tPB barrel pick? Premium drams said they could probably support it. Obviously if it was from them the cost wouldn’t be cheap so we’d have to do what we could to spread it out. But they have really good shit.

They also said they were in the process of buying a distillery that had been doing well. He gave me the name but will hold that for now. Will just say they are in KY and nationally distributed. Most of their bottles are $100 for base brand. So, if that goes through it would likely be their juice. Ideally we find a way to nab some Willett.

I'd be in to help with the numbers. And Jack Rose is still amazing for all sorts of whiskey.

The Duty Free shop in Dulles is loaded with Blantons, Weller an Buffalo Trace. Can’t find any of that in my area, which is a severe irritant.

Went to Jack Rose tonight. They have a bottle shop in their basement now. Got 2 more Premier Drams and a bottle of Rare Character. The RC tasted like All Spice Dram. Very unique. The PD’s were just good. Their prices were also reasonable. $175 per bottle for 7 year willett. RC was $100.

The deal is Bill at Jack Rose really likes Willett whiskey but likes the Castle and Key aging effects. They operate in a literal castle and the stone has different effects on the whiskey than a regular rick house. Because of this process, Willett doesn’t allow him to advertise Willett. They don’t want people thinking their Rick house is a detriment to the product. This is my reading between the lines as they were talking in tongues due to the NDAs.

Again, highly recommend. Paying $200 for a 7 year willett bourbon is dirt cheap. And it’s really good. But get it while it lasts as they are in talks with buying a high end Louisville based distillery which will shift their production over to that location.
