Thankfully I have moved up in the world and live in MO now! Although I do hunt and own rentals in IL.

I am also an Illinois escapee.

Had a five year tour of duty for work. Still have PTSD.

Roughly a dozen years for me in Illinois. I literally moved out of there the day after my daughter left for college. Family is the only legit reason to move there. Dealt with the dirty politicians, mobsters, high crime, high taxes and shitty weather. Seemed like everybody was grumpy and it was always cloudy. Only redeeming factor was the food, some great ethnic foods in Chicago. Oh and the sluts and drinking. Chicago chicks like to drink plus have low moral standards

I can top that. Daughter was in preschool for 1/2 day and daycare 1/2 day. Preschool was only 3 days a week. Wife and I would randomly be the one to pick her up from daycare to take her to preschool.

Her last day of preschool she had a little singing production. I had said that morning that I would get her. Well we sit down and kids are coming out. You can see where this is going. Wife starts recording and says... "Where's Amelia?"

You can hear me saying "Oh shit." As I take off running to go get her.

She was in nap time and as I run in the daycare lady gives me a dirty look as I pick her up and take off running again.

There and back in about the time it took to sing one song. Amelia walks into line and starts singing like no big deal.

Wife still brings that up if she needs an example of Jim fucking up during an argument.
