Have you watched Dune 2 yet?

I couldn’t even get through 4 episodes of that terrible Halo show. As a guy who has read 20+ books in that universe that was just fucking garbage.

It’s bad. It’s horrible. I’m not surprised that the producers, writers, and P+ went those routes with the show, but how did anyone at Microsoft read the script and think, “this is great for the brand!”?

I hope it gets cancelled and rebrought up by a better studio.

At some point, the total fucking dorks who read books have to understand that you can't have a faithful adaptation of a 400 page book without the audience wanting to blow their brains out from boredom. Like I'm sympathetic to criticisms of things that change the essence of the story or a feature of a character that's core to who they were in the source, but the book wasn't a movie for a reason and vice versa

Exactly why I don't like the Lord of the Rings movies. It isn't what was left out it was the changes that ruined so much of the story.

Number one Faramir didn't try to take the ring from Frodo...which is why Denethor hated him and tried to kill him. That alone was unforgivable.
Number two Aragorn NEVER considered Eowyn. He pitied her but wanted nothing to do with her. He was 100% all in on the Elf princess pussy.
In all honesty I've only ever watched them once. i know there were more irritants but I've purged my memory of the rest. Visually and casting wise they are top notch. Things like the Balrog were spot on. Gollum couldn't have been better. It was so close and yet so far from greatness. If I could force myself to watch again I'm sure I could come up with a long list but essentially I don't care enough.
