Planning on putting down my first round of fertilizer for the year at the end of the month. Going full Grass Pad this year instead of using Ace's stuff from last year. Noticeably more green grass at the moment than other neighbors around me so far.

I'll probably weed & feed my lawn on Sunday. At least the back yard, which has more weeds right now. (Fuckin henbit, man...)

Still working on planting my privacy screen hedge. I think I've got a total of like 40 trees & shrubs planted so far. I'll probably put in another ChipDrop order next week, so I can get a mulch bed ready along the property line on the other side of the yard.

Ya I am looking at a similar time frame… looks like I’m getting all my product today.

Got 2.5 gallons of this

I think it was a total of $150, but it is my pre emergent and 4 applications of fert. Usually granular would be close to $60 for my yard size.

Doesn't anything that contain Weed and Feed or Pre-Emergent not really do it's job unless the ground temperature gets above a certain degree?

I dunno for sure, but weeds are popping up already gawd dammit. Sure seems early but the ground must be warm enough

You want it to hit 55-75 ground temp… which for me it should hit that Early April to May ish.

So what I do is 1 app of pre emergent close to that 55 and a 2nd app closer may.

First post emergent is usually the weekend before the Kentucky derby.

Keep in mind that a good pre-emergent will last for months. An application now can last until summer. And around where I live, things are definitely starting to green up. I'll put some down now, and anything that gets through I'll just spot-spray.

Dammit…..

Around me, it’s me, my neighbor across the street, and the guy about 3 houses down, in an unofficial competition for best yard on the block. Mine is very green compared to others rignt now. My sprinklers get turned back on April 22nd. Frankly, I could probably mow the front right now and it would make sense. Haven’t seen anyone out yet so I was planning to wait until the weekend before sprinklers to mow and clean everything up. Fertilizer is going down the weekend of first week in April.

Neighbor across the street house just sold so he’s outta the race

Guy a few houses down, fantastic yard every season, walking the dogs this morning and I see he’s already mowed. Yard looks dry like normal cold grass, but dammit does it look sharp now. Missed my chance the last week or two while it’s been nice and now he’s ahead.

Shit
