I never turn down alcoholic beverages. He’s already sending me notices for my appt in March, which he scheduled on St. Paddy’s Day.

Feel free to join. We’ll get shitty and talk about how much money I owe the government.
Plenty of people that fuck off their first two years, quit school, pick up a few credits at community College over the next 2 years thinking construction is a decent living, work outside in sub zero temperatures and realize construction isn't the right direction, go back to school and try, and end up one of the most successful accountants ever.
To the contrary. It was the perfect venue to read a shit product. You sure as heckfire aren’t reading “Tunnel Talk” under those conditions.
And you are absolutely correct. Nothing like the stench of hot baked shit inside of a steaming hot box of a shitter on a blistering July afternoon.I think that’s better than taking a shit when it’s 90 degrees outside
Will he participate in spring football?Got the go ahead. A source close to the family told me that the plan is for him to be on scholarship, but it is all dependent on him getting his academics in order. I was told that he has a tough semester in front of him, but if he takes care of business then he will be on the field in the fall.

If he ends up making back, it will be as a scholarship.Walk him on and make him earn his scholly back IMO
Not much here but does mention Betts coming back at the end.
so here's a question then...is the Betts fam close to the Johnson fam? my daughters went to BW when Zav was there, lucky to watch that kid in HS, but don't remember the Johnson's being close to the Betts'...just curiousI have a connection as close to Zavier as it gets. It's not a done thing, but Zavier has met with Rhule about coming back.
I don't want a dude on the team if he has to be begged & pushed all the time to get motivated. The interesting quote here about Betts is..."if you get him dialed in". That leads me to believe what Damon said when Betts was recruited, 'He doesn't have the rigor' for college yet. Does he STILL not have the rigor if he has to be 'dialed in' ?
I tend to agree, but looking at the WR room we can't really afford not to give him another shot. if he's not engaged they can recruit over him and have him move on after this seasonI don't want a dude on the team if he has to be begged & pushed all the time to get motivated.
If Betts has rediscovered his passion for playing, fantastic. That's what second chances are for. But if he's out there just because some other people know he has the physical ability, & think they can push the right buttons on someone who doesn't have an intrinsic motivation or love for the game of football, then pass, and give the scholly to someone who cares.
My guess is that Rhule agrees with you. That's why it's being handled the way it is. If it is a semester long grind to get straight academically to play, that will say a great deal about his level of motivation to play football, I would think. If he really doesn't want to play, at some point he'll say, "why I am putting myself through this?"Please don't misconstrue what I'm questioning. I sincerely hope Betts has his shit in one sock now and is ready for ALL the hard work he has ahead of him. We'll find out if he isn't. So if he has the fall semester to get his academics str8 and his fitness right we'll find out what HIS motivation level is.
As some have said ITT, this could be a great comeback story. It's Zavier's to write.
