I was just going to say don't the Bennings have a connection to Betts. Bennings wife was his teacher or tutor and helped him get qualified the first time around or something like that.

You and @Jim14510 are correct that Benning’s wife tutored him and helped him qualify.

If Damon says it has a decent chance of happening there’s absolutely something here.

Personally, I see no issue with it and hope it happens. The kid is the type of athlete that would need about a month to get back in shape and he was a decently productive player.

We never really heard anything about Zavier being in trouble. People seem to equate him not knowing whether he really wanted to play football to him being this lawless gang banger. Hes a good kid that fucked up a time or two with pot and failure to appear. Stupid, but he’s far from this terrible menace to society.

there are a ton of people who party and goof off too much in their freshman and sophomore years, get it out of their systems, and work a lot harder junior and senior years. Very common pattern.

Plenty of people that fuck off their first two years, quit school, pick up a few credits at community College over the next 2 years thinking construction is a decent living, work outside in sub zero temperatures and realize construction isn't the right direction, go back to school and try, and end up one of the most successful accountants ever.

Does anyone have any info on Zavier Betts potentially staying at NU? Heard on Sharp and Handley while interviewing McKewon this morning that McKewon said not to shut the door on Betts at NU.

Damon brought it up this morning too.

Actually Jim was one of the few instances of sanity I had in my day... At one point, I managed a department of 12 women and 1 person that identified as a woman (Jim), but at least he'd come in and talk sports instead of the passive aggressive shit I got from the rest of the ladies...

Ah shit, just realized that Jim was an intern for us at our old building, before my meteoric rise up the ladder, so he would have technically been an intern for Linda, not for me... Was confusing him with another guy that interned for us that was also pretty gay...
