I watched dumb and dumber in entirety while waiting to give blood in the UNL student union. When they called my name, I made up a story about having a fever and congestion so I wouldn't have to get stuck with a needle.

Also, my dad was a similar not-go-to-the-doctor guy. He died of an unspecific, metastasized cancer at age 47 in 2008. Probably colon, but it was everywhere by the time he was diagnosed. I go to the doctor and get physicals now.

It’s smart to go every year and get blood work done. It can possibly prevent a much bigger problem down the road and even if your insurance sucks it still isn’t that much in the big scope of things.

I would like to know what Turd expects from this season? Is it six or more wins or else you’re gone Frost or does Frost have to fire assistants? Or is it all good if Frost has another losing season?

Yeah. Part of the reason I dont is simply because I feel people are too dependent on medicine and doctors to get through life instead of just being tough. So I try to just be tough really regardless of what is happening to me. I do have great insurance

Getting blood work done can tell you if you have any underlying issues so that you can fix them early on, so that you don't have to go to the doctor later.

You might find out you have high cholesterol, high blood pressure, early diabetes or something else. It’s better to know in your 20s, so you can change your lifestyle, and make it to an older age. I definitely don’t eat the same way I did in my 20s as I do in my 30s.

The extra weight isn’t always a direct connection to sleep apnea. Have had this conversation with my internal medicine doc and there are lots of guys who are 5’9” and 155 lbs who are diagnosed with sleep apnea.

I don’t feel out of shape. My body feels constantly sore and beaten up from the work load I put it under when lifting weights from powerlifting.

there’s a photo from last year of cam jurgens with the crop top jersey in practice giving Adrian a high five, no pads on. I’m comparable to that, just a couple inches shorter. I’d link it but idk how to do that on my phone

Either way go to the doctor once a year. It’s worth it in the long run. I do it around Christmas when things are a little slow. I’ve also been on a blood pressure pill since my early 20s due to hereditary factors. If I didn’t go and pushed it off I’m sure it would have taken years off my life. It’s not worth trying to toughen it out if you feel like shit.

Do you ever get migraines from blood pressure meds? My wife got put on one post delivery and gets migraines from it a couple times a week. That’d be terrible. I get them every now and then
