My former neighbor when I lived in Atlanta was a bond trader. His job was to trade 1/3 of Home Depot's $10B in cash and simply beat the fed rate. He lived quite well for something that seemed simple to me, but he came from old Georgia money (Daddy was a Green Jacket member at Augusta).Yeah the research shows that an active bond manager is worth it.
