Losing Ekeler is a colossal failure. Full stop. Combine that with the swings and misses on DL, and it is not a great offseason for a guy whose staffing choices are already suspect at best.

Probably 1M+ Cost of Living and Tax differences are crazy from Lincoln to LA.

Our family in the area just east of Pasedena a bit, sold a less than 900 sq ft house for $1 million. Contemplate that for a moment. The Palisades and Altadena fires last year destroyed nearly 10,000 homes in that area. Due to slow walking by LA County and cities, only ONE house has been rebuilt in the Palisades in OVER 1 year since the fire. Home prices are skyrocketing while simultaneously large numbers of people are moving out of the area.

Brett Maher can coach the Kickers fine. He’s not a special teams coach tho. Martins been a ST analyst for 3 years obviously a huge downgrade from EK. My intern comment wasn’t to be taking literally.

I thought Ek was returning to be close to elderly family? If he lied about that, despite being a good coach, could there be some issues of his character we know nothing about? Just asking, no idea. Bottom line, he is not the only good special teams coach in the world. If he doesn’t want to be here, he should leave.
