Special Teams Coach Hot Board

Fire This Is Fine GIF by MOODMAN

If Satterfield (TE Coach) still gets paid 'X' and I as STC gets paid 'Y'...how does that work?

Pay that man his money.

Highest paid special teams coach makes 1.2 million. He also coaches TEs and has assistant head coach title at Texas. Wonder if he means exclusive ST coach for any ST coach. Big distinction.

I’m pretty sure moving to LA is not the best move if he’s money conscious.
If USC agrees to pay all his living expenses, gives a car, etc. and off sets taxes with a bit of a raise...could almost make it a wash.

Lincoln Riley also likes lots of tackle hugs from what I've heard too.

You must not remember the short lived tenure of Bob Wager as TE coach.
And? He was fired like 10 mins into showing up for hiding DUIs. We have no idea if he was a good coach or not, the only thing you know about him is he is/was a wino.

Joey McGuire was hired to Baylor from a Texas high school directly, now he's a head coach at a program that's doing pretty damn good.

Phil Simpson was also a high school head coach, he's developing pretty well behind the scenes and as a recruiter.

making someone the 1st or 2nd highest paid coordinator and he says no thanks and takes a lateral move is a horrible look as well.
That's not the point being discussed and no one is claiming its a 'good look'. Are you even reading the posts you reply to?

Or maybe it is just about money.

It's not about money with Ekeler. He has plenty of it, even before he started coaching college ball.

There's a NYT article about him, and how he's wired. If someone can find it, post it here. It was a great read. Crash is probably one of the greatest human beings in the coaching profession I've ever met. (No, I don't know him know him but plenty of others I'm close with do on a very high level). What you see on TV, or hear on the radio, is him in real life away from football. Great dude!

So Rhule is hiring Josh Martin (current assistant ST coach) if/when Ek leaves?

I think I read that on X, so curious if this is accurate.
