My girlfriend is vegan so my default is a dijon mustard vinegar based sauce but I'm a sucker for a deviled egg style potato salad. My grandmother had a killer recipe but it died with her, which is a story as old as time regarding recipes.

I've been drinking. Finished off my Basil Hayden the other day and just broke into my new favorite bourbon Rowan's Creek since I can't find any fucking Blanton's anywhere.

How about you all?

Well the Rowan’s creek is very nice. It is a velvety bourbon which has the caramel sweetness you’d expect after 12 years in the barrel. There’s also a touch of pepper in there, and oak. The finish is long and starts sharp before mellowing and extending to a dry, spicy and woody finish with a bit of lemon which stays with you between sips. Add ice, and notice hints of molasses and chocolate on the palate with a quieter finish and less spice all around. Thumbs up. 😉😏😛

She will eat salmon and Alaskan seafood so it could be worse. She's not militant about it and I put my foot down pretty early by always referring to it as a fringe diet.
I tied man, I really tired a couple years ago. Stayed with it for about a year and a half. For whatever reason, twice a year, I dream of eating a sausage egg biscuit from McDonald’s. No idea why. I put up with it as long as I could, but broke in year two. (Don’t judge) And I was tired of being being a side dish guy when out with friends.

Hahaha...would love to take credit for it. Thought you would get a kick out of it. It was from a whisky review website, but it did seem to sum it up nicely. I do get the molasses note with the cube.

She's lactose intolerant and a big animal lover. She won't go hunting with me but she bought a pair of simms waders and comes out fishing with me. She won't fish but she will net and take lots of pictures so it's a lot like having a personal hype man. It's a tough lifestyle if you stick with it and the faux meat tastes like shit but whatever its her money.
