My only knock on glen elder is there's zero shade if you're there to camp. can't believe they never addressed that issue after the flood in 92 that killed off the trees

Lovewell is much better for camping and shade, plus you're not stacked up like sardines in a can like they are at Glenn. Problem with Lovewell this year is the water is going to get sucked down really low if we don't start getting rain.

@B1G_10_Tony - Caught these sons 'a bitches at Glen Elder, KS. Couldn't hardly find one under 12" (1" shy of Polk length).

Have you ever fished Kirwin, everyone tells me that it is better for crappie vs Glen?

Ran up to Devil's Lake, ND last month and got into some good walleye on the last day. First time fishing it but was a lot of fun up there.

I've caught more walleye out of kirwin and more crappie out of the glen, personally.

I've only been to Kirwin. Didn't seem to matter what we threw in the water. Might catch a walleye, crappie or wiper.

Been to Devils a couple times. Good lake. Can get rough in a hurry though.

Snuck out for a bit before work. It was 72 degrees when I took this picture which is smoking hot for Alaska. Fishing is slow or I suck. Could be both.

Last Sunday when I got back from Minn my wife informed me she did me a favor by taking the cooler from the basement to the garage.

I assumed she had unloaded it. I opened it this morning. It still had a bag of fish....

The first few days have been the incredible. Moab, arches and Grand Canyon. Going back to the Grand Canyon for a hike. On to Sequoia tomorrow.

Making the “maiden voyage” in the camper tonight. Sadly, it’s a solo mission as Mrs. LHR is in MN finalizing the distribution of her Mom’s personal effects.
