Unfortunately found this golden girl dead in our pond today.

Doesn't look like she's been dead very long. Wonder what happened?

She appeared real fresh and someone is there almost every day. I really wished I knew. Believe it or not those were put in as 6” fish 3 years ago.
Have seen one since they were 15” 2 years ago.
Only 2.5 acres.

The neighbor sure was kind in pushing his trees across the fence

Reminds me of my dad’s neighbor. Dude put in a permanent tripod stand, or whatever you call them, and then cut the fence so deer would cross in front of his stand.

We decided to throw some roadkill raccoons in his stand before the last season.

About a month ago I walked a dream type property in Missouri that was for sale but my wife (and my conscious) refused to let me pull the trigger.

8ac stocked pond with an air pump and a dock. Property also had a big new build fancy machine shed with electric and water with a 1/2 bath. No house yet but already had infrastructure in place and build site ready.


80 acres total
40 grass
30 timber
10 the pond and home site

Just a beautiful property in every way, 1/2 mile from black top and no neighbors. (I’ve fully developed into my Father, get off my lawn)




Only problem: $990,000

Sounds like you should have just bought it and asked questions later. A buddy of mine lives off HWY 36 near brookefield, MO and sends me listings all the time that sound similar. Some very fair in price.

My Dad is just starting to get into fly fishing too.

He went trout fishing a month ago and got 2 pretty decent size trout and he said the fight with them on a fly rod was like catching a monster on a regular pole.

Said he is addicted now.

I know that feeling now. I had shit to get done and I couldn’t leave our pond! Very addicted. The fight is great too like he said. Just little gills and it’s a blast. Looking forward to when our crappie and bass start biting.

Our shiners are crazy big and the gills are getting there. Our bass, walleye, crappie and catfish do not lack in quality forage!

Busted my ass yesterday to be ready to dip out around noon today with my shotgun and hunting pack then my boss put a team meeting on my schedule at 2pm.

Our shiners are crazy big and the gills are getting there. Our bass, walleye, crappie and catfish do not lack in quality forage!

My Dad's neighbor has a still in his machine shed and makes custom ones for people as his hobby. Best part is the dude is a retired US Marshall, love everything about him.





Also @Huskerbuck85 my Dad texted me today a pic of his first fly rod catch from his dock. He said the hardest part was getting my mom to come down to the dock and take the picture. lol
