Yea sure. They fumble, drop.punts, throw.ridiculous ints. It's year 1 with zero playmalers. Let's start over. Makes total sense

We have zero playmakers and 12 pr 14 starters gone.
I get it. You don’t understand much. And blame players constantly when it’s clearly staring everyone in the face tve ineptitude of this offense in structure and play calling….but keep blaming players….

These games are going to be hard to find a defense for next year especially if Rhule keeps his dipshit offensive coordinator.

I really wish I could say I’m surprised by this.

This is who we are. We’ve given 4 games away this year
5…

Minnesota
Michigan State
Maryland
WiscyDicks
Cockeye

I think it’s Rhule’s decision and if he’s wrong about Satterfield then he’s gonna get fired in a couple years anyway and deservingly so - bunch of uncle Rico’s calling for coaches to be fired based on one season is a bad stereotype
There’s nobody..and I mean nobody… that has defended coaches more than me on this board. But Satterfield has zero business coaching QBs and zero business calling the offense.

I’m not even saying he’s a good coach, to be clear, I just think the tantrums on here after close loses are completely overdone.

If we’re still losing these games next November, that’s a much different story

Players make plays. Ours haven't when it counted. They get key penalties , fumbles, and picks at the worst time.

That's why many of th are backups. We are down what 14 starters? 15?

I understand plenty. It's not all on coaches. Sure they can be better. Fitimg all.of them amd starting over is just asinine.

So if they’re still losing games by having an incompetent offense. Shit play calling and shit clock management. Why is it okay a year from now and not now? What’s changed. Oh. They had a chance to get better players. But it still doesn’t matter because they do a dickhole job of setting themselves up for success?

People during Frost’s 2020 season were excited after close loses to ranked teams.

People want to fire coaches after less than a year in the same scenario under Rhule.

I don’t think this is a moral victory - it’s a loss - but why is everyone melting down that a not very good team lost to a pretty good team on a game winning FG?
That’s the rub, Cockeye if fucking awful. They have played a shit schedule and barely won most of their games. Who ever they play next week will make watching football feel like watching 4 hours of anal rape.

I’m not questioning you know a lot about football but it’s really interesting how you know exactly what this team should be doing apparently at all times and none of the professionals who are paid for this purpose do.

Why make any changes? They've already hit TEXTBOOK Nebraska football

Have literally. Never said that. But thanks for avoiding the question…..

You know what I am ripping them about. Not setting their kids up for success. Not even attempting to run the ball today. Not even attempting to get into any sort of rhythm on offense. Starting out drives with inexplicable calls. You know what makes an OC really good. When they are in these situations and figure out how to move the ball with some semblance of consistency. Having a plan. Not having shit appear and disappear every other week. Every single play is magnified when you’re down dudes. But yet somehow. Teams across the country with worse talent than us. Figure out ways to get dudes in space. Or make their best calls when needed. Not throwing bubble screens into the boundary right before halftime.

Yea they’re basically the smartest retard in the B1G West

Whether our offensive staff was good, bad, or middling, they were probably going to look bad in this game.

Cockeye has allowed more than 16 points only one time this year (when their offense turned it over 4x to a top 12 team). They're a great defense that doesn't let anybody establish anything.

I thought today's game was a mixed bag with some nice moments and some bad ones.

I had a long post typed out. Decided to erase.

Let’s just say it this way….

You hire coordinators and assistants with a proven track record and the product you get from the things you place in their charge generally reflects their historical average performance.

Satterfield has always been shitty at calling plays. He’s always been terrible with situational awareness. He’s always had offenses that turn the ball over.

Hate to say this… and @Faux Sean Callahan was on this point long ago…

If Brian Ferentz was calling plays for Nebraska we win 8 games. At minimum he knows what his offenses can and can’t do.

Let that sync in.

They had 30 attempts and 28 passes and mostly got stuffed from what I saw running the ball - I don’t see how that’s not trying to run

And I do think talent matters a lot when calling plays - you have dramatically fewer options available to you when you’re trotting out your 2nd /3rd string everything vs when you have Trey Palmer on the field to provide cover.

The decision to take Jeff Sims as your QB and walk Casey Thompson off of campus is the one that cost you a bowl game and it should cost someone their job. That decision alone cost this team a bowl game and 15 extra practices.

This was an easy one that Rhule fucked up bad.

No argument, Sims is on them - I don’t think anyone should have expected him to collapse as badly as he did, but he was definitely high risk.

I am somewhat reassured by the fact that he got benched when it became clear he couldn’t be the guy - but we’ll see if that applies elsewhere in the program
