Proven recruiters? Not all of them, but most of them have backgrounds in recruiting. I probably shouldn't have said all as I haven't stayed up to date on all of the hires.

I do know this: I trust the combo of Alberts/Rhule a hell of a lot more than I trusted Moos/Frost and Eichorst/Riley. Alberts and Rhule have been talking about this for a month, I'm sure that staff personnel had come up. I trust that Rhule put out a projected staff that Alberts and the search firm approved of.

This is in contrast to Frost telling Moos he was hiring the JV staff. Moos surely didn't approve but no one at NU had the juice to tell him no.

Now you’re heavily criticizing the new coach 3 days into his regime based on half his staff being hired.

Seems like if you’re going to support one staff way past the point where they clearly sucked, you should give the next at least 4-5 days before you call them out?

Objectively Rhule does have a history of identify up and coming coaches. His past staffs seem to blend some more experienced guys with some hungry up and comers that seem to go on and have decent careers. Time will tell if that is the case with this staff.

As I’ve said previously, when you look back at Frost, he failed day one by not filling his staff with the best possible people for the jobs when he had a blank check to do so.

Matt Rhule appears to want to also find out if an inexperienced staff can make it in this grown man’s league.

We’ll see, but the direction he appears to want to go has lowered my expectations for him.

This should be a top 3 coached staff in the league. The route we are on doesn’t accomplish that. Not even a little bit.
