I’ve always figured it’s one of two things. It’s us from the future or basically our God who put us here. They could easily kill us off, but it seems like they are protecting us to a degree by shutting off nukes etc and telling the kids in Zimbabwe we are fucking up the planet.

I kind of saw that as us from another dimension and maybe on another note they don’t have any real interest. Maybe they see us basically as a nothing in the universe and we don’t have anything they need, so we aren’t worth killing. I also think most of these ufos might be some kind of drone from another planet without anyone in them.

My family knew these people around the Fairfield area from the late 70s maybe early 80s who saw a ufo up close. They took two of the girls into separate rooms and they came up with the same exact picture and they were scared shitless. My uncle said it was in the Hastings Tribune or Clay County News at the time. He knew them well and said they were very trustworthy people.

I know another guy who swears he seen something like tic tac making crazy moves all over the sky years ago. Im not as sure on him because he is one of those guys who thinks he is always right. I’m more fascinated about ufos than ghosts myself.

Couple of quick stories from when I was a kid -

In the middle of the night my mom wakes up (my dad worked for the railroad and was at work that night) and there is a huge bright light above our house (we lived in town) no noise just setting there above the house. My mom gets my sister and I out of bed throws us in the car and haul ass to my grandparents, the light did seem to follow us for a while but at some point, it disappeared. I was little but I do remember when my mom was pulling out of the garage that everything around our house was lit up with this white light (there aren't many streetlights on my parents' street and its pretty dark at night) and also my mom racing to my grandparents and me setting in the back of the car with my baby sister in my tighty whitey's. My mom is not one to panic or freak out about things, so I knew that it was a pretty serious situation for her to react like that.

After that we started to hear about more sightings around town, I remember one evening we all piled into the car and went to meet my uncle and some of his friends out on the edge of town and sure enough there was a large group of people watching this huge bright white ball of light out in the distance.

Also, around that same time some friends of my parents had bought a little farm/ranch out by Grant, Ne and told my mom that one night they saw a bright white light out over one of their fields and that the next morning when they went out to the field, they found some of their cattle had been mutilated. It seemed like there was some black helicopters in that story, but I might be misremembering now.

Next time a talk to my mom all ask her about everything that happened again I was pretty little at the time and it's not something that we have really talked about in detail now that I think about it.

I guess I should tell my only “paranormal” story I’ve really experienced.

I was I believe a Sophomore or so in high school at the time. Me and a couple buddies were bored one night and decided to go out and TP another friends house (unrelated but he passed away later in high school, RIP). He lived way out in the middle of nowhere here in Colorado, so lots of dirt roads and nothingness on the way there and back. We drove out there and TP’d his house with no issues. But on the way back, it was pitch black and I’d guess something like 2am. It’s pretty uneventful until suddenly there’s a car behind us, honking and flashing their lights, clearly trying to get us to pull over. We quickly thought of any reasons why someone would need us to pull over and couldn’t think of anything. We continued for awhile but the person was persistent, kept honking and flashing their lights. Eventually the road split to two lanes so we decided to slow down and let them pass.

The person pulled up next to us and rolled down her window. I was in the passenger seat so I rolled down my window as well. It looked like a cracked out black woman and she just started yelling “please stop your car! There’s an angel flying above you right now, it’s not good!” And I just kind of sarcastically said “oh yeah thank you. Have a good night.”

Suddenly out of nowehere, a huge elk jumped right in front of the car. It was probably the largest elk I’ve ever seen, especially down where we lived. There’s almost never elk. My buddy slammed on the brakes and we swerved over and barely missed it.

We just sat there for a minute, all of us clearly shaken as it was obvious that elk would have fucked us up. The lady then pulls up next to us and says “if you had not slowed down to listen to me, you would have hit that elk and not survived. God wanted you to have another chance tonight.” And then I shit you not, she disappeared. The car was just gone. It was the scariest moment of my life.

We’ve gone back to that spot multiple times since just to see if there’s any possible way she turned and we missed it or if she possibly went anywhere else, and there’s no explanation possible. She vanished.

We’ve since named her Geraldine and still talk about her from time to time

I’m actually surprised some Ouija board stories haven’t popped up. I remember some older kids telling me they were playing it and all this weird shit would happen.
