Aaron Murray breaking down DR15 vs CU

Good watch. I was really impressed by how the OL handled pressure. A lot of details to clean up in the passing game but those aren't hard fixes.

True freshmen don't throw with anticipation like this. Offense is really going to hit its stride at some point soon

His comments about the receivers last week were very eye-opening.
Amazing to me that we brought in a 5th yr senior WR from the transfer portal and he apparently doesn't know how to run routes (Jahmal Banks).

I thought Banks would be more like Samouri Toure, who was a finished product when he got here. Ran pristine routes, blocked, etc.

With Banks we're like, "he doesn't know how to run routes OR block, is that gonna be a problem?" Neyor I'll forgive bc he's been injured so much of the last 2 yrs.

But Banks has 1400 receiving yds at a P5 program. I expected him to be a leader in these areas, not the guy being called out on video.

Routes have definitely seemed sloppy from those two to the point that I’m ready to see a younger guy get a few opportunities.

Really prefer Banks and Neyor get it together, though.

Like, I get the hate toward McGuire....but you also should be able to count on your 5th yr SR WR to have the initiative & drive to run routes correctly.

Everyone's in love with Jacory Barney's performances so far. So McGuire is coaching him well, apparently.

But Neyor and Banks run lazy routes, so McGuire isn't coaching them well, apparently.

It's just odd to me. It's almost like the older guys aren't taking the coaching but the younger guys are. The young WRs did pretty well last year. So McGuire was a good coach last year. But he's a terrible coach this year. Except for Barney who he's doing an amazing job with. Maybe little Garrett needs to grow a pair and get in the old guys (WRs) faces a bit. Threaten PT. etc

It's all too contradictory IMHO. I can't follow the message board takes on it bc they all contradict. It's almost like message boarders shouldn't be full time assistant coaches.

It's interesting looking back on the comments on Barney. Almost everyone always talked about how he was always going full speed. That really stands out when no one else is

Our WRs are running lazy toes and not getting much separation. That has to change or the better teams on the schedule will shut down our offense
