Watching you morons try and justify that #2ndChoice isnt lightyears better than Rhule is going to be quite hilarious over the next 3 seasons. Cope cope cope. Come talk to me end of 2025. Bookmarked.

Some of you wouldn’t know good football if it bit you in the ass.

Sometimes when I see these types of threads, along with @Ducksker (aka Kitty) 's I wonder what certain people do for a living.

Nobody knows for sure whether Rhule and his staff will work in the longer term. But to have a linear thought process that 5 games in we hired the wrong guy in charge is naive and a linear thought process - usually reserved for those that don't completely understand the bigger picture.

We're all pissed and frustrated, but there are times in life where at least a little patience is wise. The sooner we run off coaches, the harder it'll be to attract others. Perhaps what Rhule might be learning is the runway isn't quite as long as he thought - and that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Ultimately, we may need to replace a few pieces like you mention. It's a bit too early to make that declaration, but it seemed you were voicing your frustrations more than anything.

I only say this because there have been MANY head coaches over the years that didn't get it right until they were deeper into their tenure. A coach that can bring a couple of his son's with him doesn't happen all that often.
Reading this reminded me of a quote from the new Ahsoka series. It was from one “sith” master to his apprentice and was something like “being in too much a hurry to win will lead to certain defeat”. Maybe that’s poignant.

Let Satterfield call plays for Michigan and let their OC call plays for us and I guarantee you the score isn’t much different at all. Honestly, I don’t know how people can‘t see how much better their athletes were yesterday. And as far as identity goes isn’t it OBVIOUS we want to run the ball.
Talked to a former offensive player on Friday night and he said it was so nice to finally have an offensive identity.

People can see how much better Michigan is - people can also see an OC at Nebraska who hinged his side of the ball on an incompetent QB1 that he identified. People see an offense that has, thus far, shown marginal improvement at absolute best. As I stated, the Michigan game doesn't/shouldn't predict Satterfield's future but continued incompetence over the remaining schedule should give cause for major concern especially since the guy doesn't have a good track record anyway. There is nothing in Satterfield's past to suggest that he is going to field a good offense any time soon. How can you look at his track record and counter that?

Any Nebraska fan that didn't see yesterday coming was/is delusional.
Any Nebraska fan that looks at Satterfield's history, the on-field product thus far, and is still not swayed after what they will likely continue to see throughout the course of the remaining schedule is equally delusional.

I’ve had an enough beers and pissed off enough. You call me a tater. I’m lashing out.

Zero fucks.
So drunk and emotional.

That’s always a sound logical way to thought process.

This fan base really does deserve all the bull shit it’s received the last 20 years. 10 months after we hire a known slow starter we get post like this.

Give me a break and you gtfo for acting like a spoiled child.

Zero fucks.

Totally acceptable for people to be upset about how the team has looked this far. Any Blueblood fanbase would be pissed with the results we've been getting.

I’m pissed too but to call for anyone to be fired is so ridiculous that it borders on unhinged.

I keep telling myself that this is the guy that got his ass kicked at Temple and Baylor and got back up and eventually brought the fight to other schools. Will it happen here? Maybe not. What I do know is that this was never going to happen right away. I saw us play 2 solid games that you could see a blueprint being built on how to win again at Nebraska.

Michigan is built how we want to eventually be built but they are 7 years ahead. Of course they destroyed us.

I don't think anyone on here really wants Rhule fired. Many would like to see us move on from some of the assistants that were questionable hires to begin with and have an entire side of the ball looking like a HS freshman team.

Well I’m sure if there was a better QB available that WANTED to come here they would have taken them, but I never heard of one. Hell, at least he has the guts to give HH a chance. Frost trotted Martinez out there until he was almost dead. What’s the incompetence you are talking about? I havn’t seen nearly the head scratching plays called as the last several years. And as far as his past if I’m not mistaken I don’t think he ever had Rhule or any of this staff to help recruit players for his offense. Let’s give them more than a few games and one recruiting class to see what they can do.

Yeah they fucked up the QB situation for sure but I wouldn’t say it’s firable after 5 games
I want them to fire Satterfield, but that wont happen.

At a MINNIMUM, picking the QB that leads football in turnovers and was 8-18 as a starter when your offense struggles historically shows 1 of 2 things. 1. He is completely oblivious to what he is as an OC or 2. He utterly incompetent

He fired the TE coach

I also have been told stories that lead to a high stress coaching culture... I don't think he will be quick to pull the trigger if it isn't working.
If he demands so much from the assistants, wouldn't that make it more likely that he WOULD pull the trigger if it isn't working?
