Breaking This is really bad

If the goal is for ESPN to love us, ill go buy some hawkeye gear now ;-)
Point is he shouldn't have trouble recruiting. Head coach doesn't need to do anything other than close on recruits and pick the right assistants.

Ur exactly right on picking the right assistants. Look at Ed O at LSU. Five stars on the roster every year but only good when they have the right coordinators

We need a proven player developer. Frost and Riley were supposed to be big “recruiting” guys, but it just aint gonna happen at Nebraska anymore. There’s about 6 programs who are signing 5 stars and we aren’t one anymore

I was on board with the “we are close” narrative when we were barely losing to top ten teams, but this is really bad. I expected a 2 TD win against Minnesota today. I wasn’t able to watch so maybe I’m overreacting, but I’m not sure Frost survives now. He’s had enough time to be able to beat fuckin Minnesota. Thoughts?
I officially came off the one more year train today.

Even Mark would be a significant upgrade over the status quo.. but not a chance in hell he leaves Kentucky. Has a premier gig… barely has to win and he is the best they’ve ever had, and he gets paid damn well. Essentially a no-pressure job at this point for him. We ain’t doubling his salary, and that is what it would take.
I’m good with mark stoops myself. I know his record isn’t great but he makes bowls at Kentucky who doesn’t care about football.

He gone.

Lol i havent seen anything from him in a long time, i just remember his unwavering optimism.

I’ll say this, no bowl game this year and ill hop off the Frost train. The idiot optimist in me still thinks we can finish 3-1 with the only loss OSU.
Honestly there’s no telling which is the infuriating part.

I still think this can be salvaged with a legit offensive coordinator but at this point, I really don't care. Fire Frost or don't but every time someone brings up a coaching candidate it doesn't get me excited. It would have to be the hire of the century by Turd. I just can't believe we're 3-5.

Can we for once try and hire a coach that has a similar culture and system to what we are trying to build now?

This roster isn't in bad enough shape that you can't step in and compete in this division with a couple transfers and some better coaching. But if we go out and hire another west coast guy or try to run some stupid pro style QB system where we have to flip the roster to have the right kind of players we might as well keep Frost.

If Frost is bringing an OC and replacing his staff, honestly what’s the point? He’s an offensive guy - if he isn’t contributing that, why are we keeping him?
