I don't follow this thread because I'm dumb, but I just bought 5K in i-bonds tonight with the intention to probably by another $5K next week. Am I stupid, lazy, or just too risk averse?

Seriously, does he not understand how economics work? Does he think that oil and gas companies wouldn't just add the cost of that tax right into their pricing? Are you going to go after Apple/Microsoft/etc... next? I mean, that new iPhone doesn't really cost $1,300 to make, so you should probably be taxing the shit out of them for "profiteering".
