The fact that aren't any concrete rumors makes me really wonder. It sure seems like if Rivals isn't intent on just packing it in and inevitably dying, they'd not surrender something as potentially lucrative as a Husker fan-site. We're one of the few fanbases in the country that, when there's actually interesting news, will have people subscribing to multiple services. But yeah, it's not like with Sipple to On3 where everyone already sort of knows what's happening; to my knowledge, no one has heard anything about who might be taking over the Rivals site once Callahan et al. leave.

He can't yet. However, he's got even more brazen about allowing stuff regarding On3 to stay up there, has been giving detailed cancellation instructions for Rivals, and just now apologized for not being able to say anything more until tomorrow.

Maybe On3 will be the new place to be, but it's not like Dean is the reason I was at Rivals in the first place. 1) If it's local guys that people actually know, the chances of them being respected are basically nil;

2) If it's random Rivals goobers with no connection to Nebraska, the chances of them being respected are basically nil;

Or grab somebody from a local radio/tv station or newspaper. I think it would help a staff if they were to add a former Husker player as a writer. Football expertise but also some connections to the program. We'd all love to read articles like "Where are they now?" of former Husker greats.

Dean asked once what subscribers would like to see covered in stories. I mentioned them writing a piece about former Husker Players that are now high school, college and NFL Coaches. I'd love to know who was out there coaching, and where. Plus could help with recruiting if they have high school players who are good. My post got lots of likes but Dean thought it would take quite a bit of work.
