Preseason predictions also assumed a slightly competitive and more difficult B10 West.

A bowl game is still the goal and we should all feel good if that happens, but winning the division looked entirely possible once it was clear the B10 west was a dumpster fire.

This schedule looked easy before the year, and now we know it’s even easier than we could’ve imagined. And we’re not taking advantage of it because we turn the ball over 3 times a game. Not going to a bowl game would be a failure, there’s just no other way to put it.
So now the goal posts are being moved?

Of course they moved. When we were 5-3 heading to MSU who was on a 5 game skid, do you remember many people being happy if we just finished the year 1-3? 3-1 or 2-2 was the expectation. Nearly everyone assumed the victory that week, a bowl berth, and firmly in the hunt for the b10 west.

Case in point.

I don't think anyone is happy how the last two weeks turned out, but the staff is also figuring out what works to win in this conference. And they're learning painful lessons.

Not being a coach myself, I think it's short-sighted for fans to know exactly how to fix the turnovers. Coaches have been rotating through multiple players to find someone that will hold onto the ball, and not throw the ball to the other team. I happen to think it's a combination of coaching and personnel, but that's probably an oversimplification.

It may go beyond coaching and personnel and bleeding into the psyche of the whole program. That's a tougher fix IMO, because there's been a lack of accountability until this staff came along. It may take a couple years to get the mental part of the program right, as ridiculous as that sounds.

Jesus Christ people pull yourselves together we are .500 in year 1 with literal functioning retards at QB, yes part of that is Rhules fault but give him a chance. If we see this same shit this time year two then we can panic
The functioning retards are a product of the current coach tbh

Two 3 point losses that could have easily been wins have turned what looked like a resurrection of a downtrodden program into a failure of a season.

I like Rhule but I'm losing faith quickly. I swear to God I’ve never seen a program give so many games away. Something drastic almost has to happen. Deion Fucking Sanders the offense. I’m almost checked out again.
A failure? Most reasonable fans thought 6 games and a bowl a pretty dam good goal.

Rhule and the staff are close to that with more injuries to starters than I ever ever in a season. Along with inheriting the shit show they did.

Even if we lose 2 more I think they have done a pretty good job.

Folks need to realize that Rhule’s vision for the offense is not going to work here. He’s god awful on that side of the ball and will continue to be if he meddles and doesn’t fix his O staff.
Is this a fact, or an opinion? Speaking in absolutes isn't always the wisest choice.

One thing I have confidence in is that Rhule will make necessary changes; especially with this AD. Turd has seen this movie too many times to allow it to fester - at least in my opinion.

Do I think that means Satt will be gone after this season? Unequivocally no. But I do think that he'll be on a short leash once they get additional (and hopefully improved) personnel.

Do we think a QB whisperer could turn Sims/Haarberg into a non-turnover machine? I don't think that's the case personally. Pass pro probably has a bit to do with turnovers as well....just saying.

With how pathetic our schedule is this year if we lose out Rhule did a below average job all the way around. I didn’t think the BIG west was going to be this bad but it’s historically bad. It’s a mulligan year either way for Rhule, but the patience won’t be there for Rhule like it was for Frost. We have to get vastly better on offense next year or we won’t go bowling. We still have a shot this year, but we have to beat Wisconsin on the road. I don’t see any possible way we beat Cockeye with our shit offense.

Look at Rhule’s history and show me where he has a good offense statistically? He needs an alapha to run the offense and he needs to stay the hell out of it and lead the team.

In today’s CFBALL and the new version of the Big Ten moving forward, you can’t possibly look at our offense and say ya we are going to compete. We do nothing schematically to give us an advantage and we won’t have any talent advantages.

Let’s keep trotting out those fullbacks and TE’s though and act like we are going to bully the other team. It’s fucking laughable and you could see how pathetic it was instantly in the spring game.

Go back and look at all of my posts from when this O staff was put together, it was obvious it was a clown show and it still is!

I agree with a lot of what you say, but you could also argue that if we had someone like Tua at QB we'd probably have 7-8 wins right now.

So is that the scheme or the players? I think it can be both.

Lmao what? So getting a generational talent at QB will lead us to 7-8 wins against one of the easiest schedules in the country?

Also, when are fans going to figure out that good coaches attract good players! This clown show staff won’t have the luxury of working with talented players because news flash, the staff isn’t capable of recruiting them!

If we had Adrian Martinez starting we might only have one loss right now. I can guarantee we would be bowl eligible.

So our fan base either thinks we don’t run the ball enough or are too old school.

I think the idea that your defense is going to dominate USC, Washington, and Oregon enough that you only need to score 21 pts is fucking retarded.

I think he met Tau from Maryland. He would have us at 7 wins.

Ok…We had every opportunity to get a player like that and we recruited the one and only Jeff Sims. I’m not sure how that’s not a huge red flag to folks. These guys have no clue what they are looking for in a player because the offense has no identity. It’s just a rag tag group of coaches and players with the only stated goal being they want to rush for 75yards in the 4th quarter.

Open your eyes people, we are the get right game for the rest of the conference. Bottom dwellers.,

Like I said Rhule better figure out the qb next year or it’s going to get very rough for him.
