Was perusing the internet looking at info regarding some of our transfer targets and came across this nugget from East Carolina's 247 site:

In addition to hosting King for a visit this past week, ECU also welcomed North Carolina A&T transfer Sterling Berkhalter. Berkhalter also visited Cincinnati and Nebraska this weekend.

Pretty sure Mongo had contacted Berkhalter recently and he had made it sound like we weren't in the picture anymore. Curious to the accuracy of this report.

According to Dean, Hornsby told the staff he was N on Friday (hence the Hales tweet) and then things changed with Texas State today(?). Seems like that’d be too quick of a turnaround to get a guy in here for a visit. I’d guess if it happened it was planned ahead of time and just kept under wraps.

He has a post on twitter that he visited Cincinnati on the 6th and 7th but nothing about Nebraska unless he maybe visited today? He is following a few of our coaches and Dean for some reason. 🤣

Hornsby with GJ Kinne is honestly a pretty good combo. I'd watch him play there.
