This is my 90-year-old grandfather's beer of choice. Whenever I go over for a visit or we get done with a job around the farm, we always end the day with one of these (or more).

Speaking of High Life, visited this place in Des Moines a few weeks ago. A bright spot in the middle of a very, very liberal, whacked out city.

Preach it bruh. I understand and am fully aware for the bleeding hearts that may be present in this thread that everyone is entitled their own beliefs and opinions, but they entitlements exist for one reason. They'll never understand though

We got anywhere from 1.80-3 Saturday, anywhere from .40-1.130 this morning. I'd guess another inch minimum tonight. Swear to God when I say we're fortunate and lucky as fuck in this area

I’ve been asked to run for various local offices (county attorney, city council, county commissioner, etc)

But I always tell them the same thing.
I’d rather kill myself than hold any public office or run for any election.


PS: if I was POTUS I would destroy the Federal Government from within, reduce it to maybe 10% of what it currently is. (Id also probably invade/take over Canada and Mexico just because)

First high school tournament I ever played in was at a sand green course, and only time I ever played on a sand green course. The course is no longer around, housing development. They had railroad ties around their sand greens and every now and then, pow, your ball would go flying.

Literally drove right by the course on Tuesday.

Stopped in Beloit for Dairy Queen for the final 3 hour ride home. (also fucking McCook doesn’t even have a DQ so it’s a treat for us to get)

The part about losing the school and the small town going from having shit that not even rural towns with 10,000+ have right anymore was too on the nose to make me feel anything but depression. (Ex: McCook only has 1 grocery store and the Walmart vs. Apparently the year I was born McCook had 5 grocery stores)


Not to mention if they think they have it bad they have no idea, because Mitchell county and Cloud county are highly populated and the county seats are thriving and they are both located very close to Salina.

my former boss was from southern Mitchell county and I have lots of old stories about how Simpson and Glasco used to be that would blow a lot of those old timers minds if a 31 year old boy from Nebraska told it to them


Sad… now I’m sad. God damnit I need a beer. Long live Rural America.
