Riley has size at NG but he is unproven. Nash has never played. I'm not sure I'd want to roll into such an important year without an experienced NG.
See idk about Riley at NG. He has leaned up and I don't know if he fits the 5'5" 380 lbs build of your typical NG.

He looks really good and explosive.

I am really excited to see what Nash looks like next year. He has already come such a long ways. He has physical ability to be dominate inside I think.

Our OL is mediocre as hell right now. They might be a little better next year, but that's not saying much.
That's putting it nicely. I think the skills are there though. We have some dudes on that line.

A change in OL coach this offseason could do wonders.

They are mediocre…I remember when Jurgens was very mediocre, he’s pretty solid now
You could start Teddy and Benhart at tackle, Jurgens at C, and Corc and German at G next year. That would be a talented group, but we would have a freshman starter at LT coming off a season ending injury and Corc will be learning a new position.

You could start Corc and Benhart at tackle, German and Schiterman at guard, and Jurgens at C. That would be an experienced group, but realisticdally, would they be any better than this year? Maybe a little bit.

I'd rather we go out and get at least a talented guard who has starting experience and who can give us more depth/options.

NW @Ireland = W (in the land of drunks I trust Nebraskans to thrive and NW dorks to die)

North Dakota = W

GA Southern = W

OU = W (sweep the leg Scott and Chin)

Rutgers = W (hate that this game is right after OU, Schiano man)

Indiana = W

at Michigan = W (revenge game, especially if their defense is rebuilding)

Minnesota = W

at Wisconsin = W (they are never shit back to back years and by 2 months in they will have probably figured their shit out)

Purdue = W

Illinois = W (run up that score on Bert)

at Cockeyes = W

Undefeated and no bowl/playoff/championship win?

I think you can actually say the ceiling is 12-0 with a straight face. Will that happen? Probably not. But we lost to the two best teams on that schedule by one score. A couple missed field goals and an untimely fumble.

Note: I am not including Cockeye as one of the top two teams because I don’t believe they are a top 10 team.

this is the same ridiculous thing Nebraska fans have been saying about next year for 20 years - you really can’t say that with a straight face when you haven’t had a winning season in 4 years

Should really get 8 with that schedule - more than that would be a nice surprise

I said ceiling, not prediction.

I think we have 12 winnable games on the schedule.

Please respond with the games you do not consider winnable and the reasons you think they are not winnable.

if you mean the ceiling is 12-0 in the sense that it’s 12-0 theoretically every year even though that hasn’t happened since 1997 and we haven’t been remotely close to that since…. 2001?, then yeah sure, in theory it’s 12-0 as the ceiling in the same way that’s true for every team.

If you mean there’s any chance that Nebraska goes 12-0, then it’s ridiculous to say so when we’re sub .500 in the last four years.

I don’t know which games Nebraska will lose next year, but i suspect they’ll lose no fewer than 3. Further, OU seems pretty damn unwinnable to me at the moment - we’ll see on others like Cockeye, Wisconsin, Michigan.

Nebraska fans have an amazing ability to underestimate who they’ll lose to before the start of each year.
