Almost as dumb as the cheaters are the guys who dont log bad rounds to keep their handicap lower than it should be.

Im around a 12 and I still laugh when I beat guys straight up who are “close to scratch”.

I’ve watched guys shoot at least 105 and post 85. Also seen 7 hcps shoot 1 over and not post too.

Heard a rumor through a friend of a friend that Ben Roethlisberger got booted from a country club in Atlanta for bringing in a ringer w/ a fake handicap for a member guest. Then out of spite he put up his house on the course for sale the next day, then someone (his wife probably) smacked some sense into him and he removed the listing the day after 🤣 No idea if it’s true but seems likely

This is hilarious. I just don't get the motivation. Don't get me wrong, I am competitive as hell, but I also don't need to try to win something that literally doesn't matter.

There is fairly decent money on the line at a lot of member-guests. Overall winner got like $15k at our club last year.

That’s what I’ve seen from random videos. Just seems odd to have a new club out there like that and still be good. Can’t imagine the entry to market is easy

One of the only silver linings of a bad round is logging it in GHIN afterwards and hopefully raising your handicap. What kind of schmuck denies themselves that pleasure because of pride?!
