21 country representing!
This reminds me of an interesting question: Is Nate Lashley the second greatest golfer all time from Nebraska?
1. Johnny Goodman
2. Lashley or Sieckeman
4. Gutcheski

I don’t know if I count Laurels finest Mark Calcavecchia as Nebraska. He didn’t go to high school in Nebraska. Moved when he was 13.

Anyone golf at Myrtle Beach? I've played Prestwick, Myrtlewood, Eagles Nest and Aberdeen country club, but looking for some other good suggestions? Headed down for a 4 day golf vaca with my family.

Johnny Goodman, for sure. Won the US Open and US Amateur.

wow, hadn't seen this. wonder who they are getting for an architect and if it will be part of the Dormie Network, like Arbor Links and others.
I'm glad this is happening though. Lincoln needs this and then we somehow need to get another public course.

Based on the filing that was released, sounds like it won’t be a part of the Dormie network (not sure it would really make sense given they have two courses in NE already). I can work some of my contacts to see if I can get any more info on this.

From what this weeks Grow Omaha report…

At this week’s Gretna City Council meeting, the owner of Omaha-based Woodsonia Real Estate revealed new plans to build a blockbuster project on just part of the overall district.

Woodsonia would team up with a Kansas City-based developer that has ties to the Sporting KC Major League Soccer team. Their plan encompasses 700 acres within the district. The most imminent portion includes a $400 million retail center anchored by Look’s Marketplace and a Wally’s gas station on an undeveloped parcel northwest of Interstate 80 & Highway 31.

To the north of Nebraska Crossing, Woodsonia’s plan shows a $125 million, 15,000-seat outdoor amphitheater (something akin to a Live Nation venue), a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course, a huge multisport facility known as The St. James and a JW Marriott Hotel.

🙄 Who knows if any of this will actually happen

We need more public golf courses in nearly all metro locations. Demand has outpaced supply in the last 3-4 years. To your point, most private clubs are full with a wait list, too.
Didn’t Stu put out an article that it’s only for UNL golf, Pius Golf and family? Private golf clubs are the only way to go.

Traded emails with a golf industry buddy in Omaha and he said the same thing about UNL golf teams. Wouldn't surprise me if it was very exclusive, but it would surprise me if it was for Peed family play only.

I can’t read that but that’s what I was told. They are basically building a golf facility for both golf teams and themselves. I’d assume it would be something like Cockeye State or other schools in the Midwest but I don’t know for sure. I’ll say that the person who told me it was just for their family would know. He is pretty well connected in the Nebraska golf community
