21 country representing!
This reminds me of an interesting question: Is Nate Lashley the second greatest golfer all time from Nebraska?
1. Johnny Goodman
2. Lashley or Sieckeman
4. Gutcheski
I don’t know if I count Laurels finest Mark Calcavecchia as Nebraska. He didn’t go to high school in Nebraska. Moved when he was 13.
Looks like the Peeds are really stepping up.
Cannot open the link, but would this be where Hillcrest CC is/was?![]()
Sandhills Global owners propose new private 18-hole golf course in Lincoln
The course, which would be called Battle Run, would be built on 290 acres of land near 98th and O streets.journalstar.com
wow, hadn't seen this. wonder who they are getting for an architect and if it will be part of the Dormie Network, like Arbor Links and others. My guess is there are looking at the bigger pink box for the location. Hillcrest Clubhouse is at 94th.
The bottom pink box is Tom Peed's house.

I'm glad this is happening though. Lincoln needs this and then we somehow need to get another public course.wow, hadn't seen this. wonder who they are getting for an architect and if it will be part of the Dormie Network, like Arbor Links and others.
We need more public golf courses in nearly all metro locations. Demand has outpaced supply in the last 3-4 years. To your point, most private clubs are full with a wait list, too.I'm glad this is happening though. Lincoln needs this and then we somehow need to get another public course.
Based on the filing that was released, sounds like it won’t be a part of the Dormie network (not sure it would really make sense given they have two courses in NE already). I can work some of my contacts to see if I can get any more info on this.wow, hadn't seen this. wonder who they are getting for an architect and if it will be part of the Dormie Network, like Arbor Links and others.
Thought it was going to be the same architect as GrayBull. David McLay Kidd.wow, hadn't seen this. wonder who they are getting for an architect and if it will be part of the Dormie Network, like Arbor Links and others.
Just heard he's doing the new course at Streamsong in FL, too. He's a good one.Thought it was going to be the same architect as GrayBull. David McLay Kidd.
Didn’t Stu put out an article that it’s only for UNL golf, Pius Golf and family? Private golf clubs are the only way to go.We need more public golf courses in nearly all metro locations. Traded emails with a golf industry buddy in Omaha and he said the same thing about UNL golf teams. Wouldn't surprise me if it was very exclusive, but it would surprise me if it was for Peed family play only.Didn’t Stu put out an article that it’s only for UNL golf, Pius Golf and family? Yeah, no thanks on that…Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course
