The shot clock is so great. Pro golf needs to institute it immediately.
Honestly, that's the highlight so far.

My synopsis is this.

1. The technology is phenomenal. Over the top, unbelievable tech.

2. The format is as bad as the tech is good. The team format is so forced it is comical. If LIV has shown us anything it is that nobody cares about the "Majesticks, Crushers, Cleeks, etc."

3. What they should do: 1-on-1 matches. They should ditch the over the top courses they have dreamed up for the simulator and use tour courses. Maybe even preview upcoming courses for the tour season. Tour stars could play each other or cross over and play LIV stars in hour 18-hole matches on prime time with the shot clock on that technology. Since there isn't a PGA Tour affiliation, I don't think there would be any issue crossing over between LIV and PGA tour regulars. I think people would like it a whole lot better than the 3 person team format they have now.

Would agree with all of this but feel like the team part is to keep the coverage closer to 2 hours with more big names involved. I think they know if it is really long people won’t watch

They should also allow for carryovers and presses to let the teams come back easier

switching topics slightly, I have used the Garmin R10 launch monitor for about 3-4 years now. I have a poor man's hitting bay set up in my garage and have the Garmin set up with GS Pro. I'm fairly happy with it, but there are some accuracy issues. Plus, it really has a hard time picking up short shots.

I recently found out about this new budget simulator/launch monitor product. The tech is based on high end camera launch monitors, not doppler radar tech, which cheaper monitors use. I've watched about a half a dozen reviews on this and it looks legit. It even tracks putting, which typically only high end launch monitors will do. With the coupon code it comes in at under $700.

Anyone have any experience with this?

Updated garage setup. Ended up getting the Square and selling the Garmin R10 on eBay (got $400 for it, Square was $630 after discount). It’s a huge upgrade in tech for the price, fwiw. It connects seamlessly with GS Pro which is a huge plus, too.

What type of projector do you have? I am thinking of upgrading to a projector instead of the wall-mounted tv.

It’s an older epson 1776w that I confiscated from work that wasn’t being used anymore.
