Getting the uncomfortable feeling Frost is coming back

I’ve heard Fidone’s name thrown out in these conversations and I gotta say I don’t get it. Loves Frost and Beckton and has been hurt so it’s not like he can be upset about playing time. He makes more sense to me as a potential transfer if Frost is fired.
Maybe an inside look at this shit show of a team turned him off?

My guess would be someone on some message board said “if I were Fidone I’d be looking to transfer from this circus” and then someone took that and it grew into..”Fidone wants to transfer from this circus”
The guy I heard it from had been right about stuff in the past. Guess we'll find out.

Dean is toeing the line over at RSS for him to come back, which we all expect because he is a Gutless Wonder kissing Ass and covering his Ass. Now Brian Christopher with the same message. Didn't expect that from him as I had respect for him. Guessing the word has come down from the North Stadium so they are falling in line. Don't want to rock the boat.

Really hope I am wrong but can't help but feel that Turd either ain't got the Stones or TO & Boosters have told him "Frost Stays:". I guess it would be another Moral Victory for the Frost Davidians.
I am not as confident he will be back, but Ted Carter said "he is a great coach" during his halftime interview. I don't know if he would say that if he was thinking of firing him in a couple weeks.

Just reading between the lines I think the most likely outcome is Frost is retained and they are shaking up his staff.

Do we chalk Carter's "no decision has been made" to naivety about how much any comment about football gets put under a microscope and Saturday as a calculated walk back? Or was it made clear to Ole Ted that a decision had been made and he just wasn't informed yet and forced to go castrate himself at half?

I think bringing Frost back could be a little more justifiable if the recruiting class was better. How many transfers do they think they are going to get? And is that a sustainable way to maintain a program?
This recruiting class was always going to be small. They are set to have something like 70 players with 3+ years of eligibility left.

Adding guys from the portal to get older was always the strategy.

The class to follow is the next one. They will have some wood to chop.

That just seems like horrible roster management

I know this won't be popular opinion but Frost can turn this around here with some staff changes on offense and probably a change of philosophy of running down hill more. I don't think he deserves it but obviously his offense is not suited for the big 10. Jmo
Have we ever seen his offense? Martinez can’t run it and he’s gone all in on Martinez for 4 years.

With all the work that it took to get him into UNL, will he be able to transfer? Might be some academic barriers that keeping him here
Damon read an email that indicated he hasn't had great grades here either. Supposedly that is one of the reasons for spotty playing time.

I think most Husker fans have accepted the quantity limits of the 2022 class. It’s the quality of the kids in the class that’s concerning. I know, I know, I’m a star-gazer but having a 5.7 3-star kid as the highest rated player in your class with limited space is no bueno.

Well you should brace yourself because.....

ESPN sure loves them some Ernest

No I get what you are saying and agree. I will say I like a lot of this class, but don't get wtf we are doing with the TE we got... He seems like a future OL in the works. Last I checked he had 1 fucking catch on the year.

You hearing any rumblings Deano?

Just out of curiosity, how so?

Well, lots of the classes that would make up your upper class suffered from really high rates of attrition that happened almost immediately and it seems like we never got all that serious about balancing it out with JUCOs and transfers though they've taken a few.

COVID was obviously totally unexpected but these small numbers in the Jr/Sr classes were going to be a problem just due to the massive attrition in the first two recruiting class under Frost being filled with mostly freshman eligibility players
