NU mascot getting overdue props

I don't remember the last one, but maybe that's self-defense.

You'd have to be super old like @LoudHogRider to remember the last one.
I was gonna be "chapped" about this vicious affront and clear example of age discrimination, then I did a little research on the "Corncob Man" mascot, and I was alive - albeit an infant - during his tenure. Sumbitch.

"The first mascot Nebraska had was Corncob Man who debuted in 1955. Corncob Man wore green overalls and had a half ear of corn that served as a headpiece."

Corncob Man was replaced by "Huskie the Husker" in the early 60's because having an unhusked ear of corn seemed like a stoopid idea for a team named the Cornhuskers.

Corn cob Man was a bit creepy, but it did feature husked corn.
