Getting the uncomfortable feeling Frost is coming back

I think bringing Frost back could be a little more justifiable if the recruiting class was better. How many transfers do they think they are going to get? And is that a sustainable way to maintain a program?

The way Dean made it sound over there is they are going to tell us Frost will get 2022 sometime this week. That’s how I read it anyways.

Dean is toeing the line over at RSS for him to come back, which we all expect because he is a Gutless Wonder kissing Ass and covering his Ass. Now Brian Christopher with the same message. Didn't expect that from him as I had respect for him. Guessing the word has come down from the North Stadium so they are falling in line. Don't want to rock the boat.

Really hope I am wrong but can't help but feel that Turd either ain't got the Stones or TO & Boosters have told him "Frost Stays:". I guess it would be another Moral Victory for the Frost Davidians.

Sorry.. I mean the QB is so important in Frosts offense. No run game to lean on. Plus, Bog Ten teams grind the ball. Frost offense is all about big plays. If we don’t get them.. we punt. Look at how many bad situations we put the defense in because we couldn’t control the clock?? This offense is made for Big 12/Pac 12. Not the Big ten...I have the record of Frost to back me up...

There’s no way they can make the decision to keep Frost right now. They’d have to see these next 2 games.

They're not gonna get any info from the last 2 games. Frost and UNL are gonna position the last 2 as young player "try out" games.

Here's my prediction for the chronology of events:

1. UNL announces Frost will be back in 2022 ("we're close, he's the guy" etc)
2. Frost announces Adrian is out for rest of 2022 due to jaw surgery. Smothers will start last 2 games of the year.
3. Frost announces Jojo Domann and a couple other super seniors from the defense are out for last 2 games to allow injuries to heal/prep for the draft
4. After this you'll hear Frost and all of the coaches talk about the last 2 games in terms of "nothing to lose" and "we'll find out what we have in our youngsters" and "try to play spoiler" and "try to get some momentum for next year"

What Frost is doing is he is setting expectations for the last 2 games and getting himself off the hook for potentially ugly losses. So, you don't need to wait to see those last 2 games. They'll probably already raise the white flag by Monday or Tuesday.

Show me one statistic that shows that Frost's Coaching is suited for the B1G? Not one Metric supports keeping him. Year 4 we still have some of the worst Special Teams in the country. He is too stubborn to admit he is wrong or make changes when things aren't working.

I'd compare Frost to Turner Gill at Kansas. Gill was successful outside of P5 at Buffalo, was a hot HC candidate for a few minutes, went up a level to KU where he was overmatched and failed. To Gill's credit, he then went to Liberty and never had a losing season. If/when Frost has another head coaching job, it should be at a Group of Five conference rather than P5.

There's simply no comparison that works. Frost would have been fucking toast at almost any other major program after last year and yet here we are.
