Getting the uncomfortable feeling Frost is coming back

Yeah nothing like those grinding ball control offenses at Ohio State and Penn State
Ya... Ohio state doesn’t run the ball do they? They run the ball when they have to. Frost offense is awful and doesn’t fit Nebraska. 4 straight losing seasons backs that up. This season we have a playoff caliber defense also.

His offense is awful is a completely different argument than his offense doesn’t fit the Big 10. The best team in the Big 10 runs a spread and it’s a moronic take that only one kind of offense will work at Nebraska - Frost sucking and losing games doesn’t somehow equal we need to run the Gawl durn ball

That’s not fair either because Nebraska is a much easier place to win at. We are suppose to be a Blue Blood aren’t we?

Separate point, but people don’t actually believe the blue blood thing anymore do they? It’s been 20 years…..

I believe we are a significant step above Kansas in what we have to offer for football. The biggest thing we lack is a big population nearby to recruit.

This would be an absolute disaster if this happened. Kinda of like”Dear Husker Nation, we think your stupid”
I agree. But I think it already started. Why did Frost pick yesterday to tell us about Adrian's broken jaw? IMHO he wouldn't have said that unless he had decided to sit Adrian for the rest of the year.

And Frost already admitted that Domann may not be back - "I don't know what he's going to do."

Frost will probably say "we can win both games" .... but out of the other side of his mouth he'll be talking about what a challenge it'll be without Adrian & Jojo (and whoever else).

Sorry.. I mean the QB is so important in Frosts offense. No run game to lean on. Plus, Bog Ten teams grind the ball. Frost offense is all about big plays. If we don’t get them.. we punt. Look at how many bad situations we put the defense in because we couldn’t control the clock?? This offense is made for Big 12/Pac 12. Not the Big ten...I have the record of Frost to back me up...
I mean there’s a lot of punting in the Big 10.

I think the offense can absolutely work in the Big 10. Nebraska moves the ball on folks. The problem they have is they have a QB that likes to give the ball to the other team and they have done an awful job at developing offensive tackles. That has nothing to do with scheme.

Frost says a lot of stuff that makes you go wtf, so maybe it’s just that, but we will find out soon enough.

You don't really lose your blue blood status quickly. Nebraska is still only 1 of 8 programs over the 900 win mark with Penn State just on our heels and Tennessee 45 wins or so back.

They’ve also played in a national championship game more recently than any team in the big 10 minus Ohio St

Texas went 1969 to 2005 without a title
Michigan from 1948 to 1997
I think Notre Dame has played in 1 since 1988.

It's just not a distinction that fades quickly and if Nebraska would rattle off 6 wins against cupcakes to open next season, we'd shoot up the rankings hilariously fast because we're still a thing even though it doesn't feel like it

Good points. It’s also moronic to tell me that a ball control offense that Nebraska was built on keeps getting put aside. We are not Oregon, Ohio State etc. Our recruiting base is built for this. Wisconsin?? Ya, Alvarez took our brand and brought it there and all they do is win ... every year. Meanwhile, big homegrown OL walk out of the state to smaller universities and kick rears. We can argue about it all day. Once again, 4 years .. no bowl. Frost offense will not work here and has shown as much.

I've heard Sevy, Betts, and Fidone.
I’ve heard Fidone’s name thrown out in these conversations and I gotta say I don’t get it. Loves Frost and Beckton and has been hurt so it’s not like he can be upset about playing time. He makes more sense to me as a potential transfer if Frost is fired.

Exactly what I was thinking. Dude tweeted that Frost is the only dude who can bring back Nebraska football and then leaves 5 mo later? Don't buy it. Maybe if he wan't injured and wasn't playing.

I agree you don’t quickly, but without a conference title in 22 years I think it’s at least a discussion

Let it go man. It’s not 1994 anymore. The recruiting base that fueled the offensive you’re pining for doesn’t exist anymore. Four losing seasons have to do with the man in charge, not the system he runs.

100%, I just hesitate to still argue for blue blood status - I guess we‘ll see where the next decade under Frost goes as that’ll probably make it pretty clear one way or another
