Colorado going all out at practice

Not enough whiny little kids I guess?

The NCAA has been tightening up waivers for multiple transfers for a couple of years now because they know they have given out too many. They really tightened them up this year

I don’t know man… we will see. Our staff seems pretty confident it’s a formality with Gilbert. There’s a QB on his fourth or fifth school that thinks he’s playing this year.

NCAA just talks a big game and then never really holds anyone accountable and rubber stamps stuff.

It’s really an interesting case study what will come out of this. Going scorched earth on the current roster just seems like a very, very poor approach. Their classes weren’t great, but the 2020 class was ranked #36. Next two classes were mid 50s composite. It’s not like they were completely bereft of talent.

As we know, coaching & development is a huge factor and a big reason that we’ve sucked the last 20 years. CU Coach (can’t lend credence to the moniker by calling him anything other than CU Coach) is sending the message that it was a talent problem alone.

He’s also putting himself in a really dicey spot. He has given everyone recruiting against him all the ammo in the world to recruit with against him. It’s not like he is the only game in town - Riley, Smart, Saban, Dabo, etc have better proven track records at better schools. He’s put himself in an unnecessary position of absolutely needing to be successful with this strategy in year one or else he’s totally fucked on the recruiting trail. Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy.

I don't think there was ever any chance Turd would have hired him, but we can be very glad his brand of egotism never got hired here. He makes Frost look and sound humble and down to earth.

I was thinking this same thing. Lately, some of the writers and radio/podcast guys I've been listening to have been pumping the breaks on Yr 1 Prime. "the more I look at this the more I think Prime is just setting up for Yr 2" 🤔🤔🤔 And they all agreed that CU might be a 4-8 team or 5-7 as it's ceiling.

But the problem with that is that takes all the air out of the balloon for Prime. His schtick is all about Louis Vuitton and the Dawgs he's bringing in etc. If he goes 2-10 this year that wrecks that mystique.

CU doesn't have dominant NIL. I just don't know why a FL or GA 4 or 5* would relocate all the way to Boulder for a 1-11 and then 2-10 team. Not if the NIL is worse or the same. They'd just stay in the south.

IMO Prime has to go 5-7 to make his plan work. And one of those 5 wins has to be a high profile win, preferably. I just don't know how Prime can keep this going if they go 3-9 and get destroyed every week.

CU had another guy who recently transferred in decide to get the fuck out of dodge and transfer out today. He played TE for Arkansas State and still wasn't impressed with Boulder..... LoL.
Seydou Traore. He was one of their most impressive portal pickups and projected as a top 3 round NFL draft pick. The fact that he’s bolting is pretty eye opening.
