They are so soft it’s unbelievable

Pillows. Big, fluffy, white pillows.

been a trend for a long time and the reason Pelini didn't win enough and is the biggest reason Frost's offense isn't good

if we had a legit OL all of Frost's dumb ass plays would work like they did at UCF

I didn't search for the Jake Cotton falling over gif or the Jake Cotton huge beer gut pic so here is this pic of what was the best OL Pelini had and also probably the best OL (all 5 spots + depth) we have had since 2002

disgusting how far we have fallen and nobody seems to address the elephant in the room, if this OL had 2 more Spencer Long type talents (not asking for the world here, he was a local kid and only first team All-Conference 1 fucking year) I think the 2012 team would have beat UCLA and probably either beat Wisconsin again in Indy or made it a close game and then we beat UGA in the bowl. Either way for sure beat UCLA, idk about the rest cuz woof that defense was shit.

Fuck I can't imagine what last years group would have been like with average OL play. Not asking for great OL play, but fuck not worst in the B1G.

I would just like to point out something that I haven't seen anybody say about this.....

Where is Logan Smothers? Has CT already usurped him that quickly? Did our entire OL really get bought off with wings and bowling? Like, how does LS feel seeing this? Nobody loyal to LS, just ready to roll with CT. Seems bad for LS's future at Neb.

here is a realistic goal that the Nebraska OL should have every year (and something Nebraska hasn't achieved since 2012)

1 first team all-conf
1 second team all-conf
1 honorable mention all-conf

2012: 1st team Long (Elkhorn,) 2nd team Sirles (Colorado), h/m Jackson (Norris/Roca)

3 OL from places we can (and should) easily be able to recruit and this should be standard that we hold our OL to

Hopefully Smothers isn't dumb enough to not see the situation for what it is. Nebraska brought in a QB who played at a reasonably high level to start this season and that guy is doing his best to integrate with the team. It's up to Smothers if he wants to stick around and compete

Yes, CT will be the starting QB in the fall (assuming there are no injuries). The real battle will be for QB #2...and I expect Purdy will win that too. I like Logan and appreciae how he has handled his business thus far at DONU, but I think his lack of overall arm strength doesn't allow him to be a P5 QB.
