I don't think NIL is that big of a deal to the school.

They wanted to hire a builder to make 4 stars out of 2 and 3 star kids.

At least that was their methodology for the coaching search.

If they wanted a HC to attract top recruits using NIL, they would have gone in a different direction.

To me, this is about just trying to stay competitive enough to keep milking the cow.

Seems odd to invest almost a billion in facilities and coaching/AD salaries to field a mediocre product by not investing what equates to a rounding error in player acquisition.

Honestly, wouldn’t surprise me though. “Doing it the right way” is catnip for retards.

We are likely one of the top NIL programs in the country and find ways to light money on fire. I believe this because that would be the most on-brand possibility for us.
