That's Colorado's scholarship distribution chart. Talk about long term issues, 6 FR, 10 RS FR, 10 SO. That's 26 total scholarship underclassmen. Only using 66 scholarships, is that Sanders saving money like he cited as a reason for not doing visits. Can't think of a bigger sign that Sanders is not there for the long haul.

Just to compare Nebraska has 66 underclassmen listed on the scholarship distribution. Nebraska has the same number of Fr and So as Colorado has on the roster, very stark contrast.

"Colorado will lose all four players who carried the ball more than two times last season."

hahaha

But it's worse than that. None of them were out of eligibility or injured, all 4 decided to leave Colorado and Sanders and play somewhere else.

I think they all left because they know CU's running game is going to potentially be even worse next season. Their new offensive line includes 5 dudes who came from programs that pass blocked more than 65% of the time in 2023. Pat Shurmur has always been a coach that's known for not committing to the run game.

If you look at the talent on the CU roster, its at 2 spots:

QB and WR. I imagine they are going to throw the football 40+ times per game, and the running backs realized their touches were going to be limited.

It seems insane to me that the Amos kid from Miami (oh) is seriously considering flipping from Miss State to CU. That type of decision could possibly cost him as much as 150 carries.

Anybody who transfers TO Colorado at this point is basically the same thing to me as a social media influencer. They're not actually interested in being an expert in their field, they're interested in online clout and attention.

I have a feeling that this dude already knows where he is going and that's why the rumors were heavy for days before he even made his intentions clear that he would enter the portal. I bet he announces pretty quickly. Just a hunch......it's KSU.

You're probably right. A guy like him can land at another P5 pretty easy, but a lot of these players that enter never find a home remotely close to what they were receiving at the place that took them out of high school. Lots of bad information out there.

That seems to be the online consensus. He has several connections to KSU. We just have to hope to get a visit from him. Then all bets are off. When he visited Lincoln during his first recruitement, he rated the visit at 12 out of 10. Hopefully he has good enough memories from that to give us a second look.

Edwards, who signed with the Buffaloes in December 2022, was also committed to both Notre Dame and Kansas State as a high school prospect. The Fighting Irish are not expected to pursue him this time, but both Kansas and Kansas State have interest in him, and there’s also buzz about Texas A&M pursing him as well, according to Tater Island’s Pete Nakos.

In addition those schools, Tater Island’s Steve Wiltfong reports that Nebraska is expected to make a strong effort to land him as part of their spring portal efforts.

The Huskers brought in Oregon transfer RB Dante Dowdell this offseason as well, but are looking to add depth and playmaking with Edwards, who can line up both in the backfield and split out as a wide receiver.

Hopefully us getting Dowdell does not affect our chances with Edwards. Because Edwards > Dowdell

Isn't EJ the projected starter...? I guess I don't see how Ervin weasels his way into starting given his injury history and, honestly, a lack of production.

I'm sure Rhule would try to pitch it as Edwards being a different kind of back, but if we landed him, wouldn't be surprised at all if EJ portal'd. Totally worth the risk tho IMO
