And so it begins...(tracking Coach Prime decommits/transfers)

I talked to a parent of a kid who took a visit to Boulder last spring and he said it was complete circus. No organization, and then big timing everyone including the recruit that came out there.

It's just not sustainable. After this year even if he stays the roster will turn over again with his QB son gone.

Carter Nelson was there with all his coaches last year. They were all stunned by how Deion refers to himself as Prime. We all knew he was Prime, but I'm not sure everyone understood how its communicated. He doesn't say "I", he says "Prime." For instance:

"Carter, Prime and the staff think you can be a weapon. Prime loves your size and hands. Prime believes your hands are underrated and you will will make Prime happy."

This info is second hand, but when that group left the room with a support staff member for Colorado, they all burst out laughing and the support staff member was dying but saying stuff like, "Stop guys, you're going to get me in trouble."

I just think his delusion is something that should be studied. Again, that's the kind of stuff you almost need as a player. But as a head coach of a Power 5 team it's ridiculous. It's like how they manufacture motivation against people. And it rubs off on his players who become delusional. His son was saying he didn't see a difference between P5 FBS football and the HBCU conference he came from.

That's Colorado's scholarship distribution chart. Talk about long term issues, 6 FR, 10 RS FR, 10 SO. That's 26 total scholarship underclassmen. Only using 66 scholarships, is that Sanders saving money like he cited as a reason for not doing visits. Can't think of a bigger sign that Sanders is not there for the long haul.

Just to compare Nebraska has 66 underclassmen listed on the scholarship distribution. Nebraska has the same number of Fr and So as Colorado has on the roster, very stark contrast.

"Colorado will lose all four players who carried the ball more than two times last season."

hahaha

But it's worse than that. None of them were out of eligibility or injured, all 4 decided to leave Colorado and Sanders and play somewhere else.

I think they all left because they know CU's running game is going to potentially be even worse next season. Their new offensive line includes 5 dudes who came from programs that pass blocked more than 65% of the time in 2023. Pat Shurmur has always been a coach that's known for not committing to the run game.

If you look at the talent on the CU roster, its at 2 spots:

QB and WR. I imagine they are going to throw the football 40+ times per game, and the running backs realized their touches were going to be limited.

It seems insane to me that the Amos kid from Miami (oh) is seriously considering flipping from Miss State to CU. That type of decision could possibly cost him as much as 150 carries.
