Dylan has the lowest completion % on the team, yet continues to be the starter. are the coaches stupid?
I guarantee you LaTeef's play lets Rhule and Holgorsen sleep better at night. Just think of the cringe worthy bad No 2 QB's we've had for the last I don't know how many years. I'll go out on a limb and say TJ is a better back up than what 90% of the teams in college football have. He might even be better than Ryker Fyfe was.

Ryker Fyfe what a nightmare

This is what I am most terrified of with UM against NU next weekend. This is just such a bad matchup for us stylistically, really hope we can overcome it with the O and outscore them.

I’d be surprised if we don’t see Dasan McCullogh spy Underwood on drop backs. Dasan is so fast and stand above the line, this game is begging for him to takeover before it even starts

I think LaTeef has looked smooth as fuck. The kid is the first dual threat QB at Nebraska who doesn't cause me to cringe when he throws the football.

But Husker fans need to tread lightly here on the way we crown him at the moment. His PT came against 2nd stringers on a terrible MAC team and a .500 at best FCS program.

We also need to take into account the talent quality upgrades of Nebraska's roster. Elijah Pritchett, a 12 game starter at Bama, is blocking for LaTeef vs the FCS squad. Elite athletes like Mozee, Carter Nelson, Quinn Clark, and Mills are facing dudes who primarily had D2 offers out of high school.

The talent disparity between Nebraska's backups and the backups at HCU and Akron is even worse than the disparity between 1st teamers.

Now that doesn't limit the impact of execution. You still have to make plays. And he's doing it easily. But I feel like people will be clamoring for him after Raiola hits some diversity, and then people will start shitting on LaTeef the first time he makes some mistakes.

I wonder what they’d do differently in the 4Q against Cincinnati/Sorsby and does that experience prepare you in anyway for an Underwood who’s now willing to use his legs?

Haynes is still the biggest concern. I bet Underwood’s legs scare them, but I doubt our DB’s are afraid of his arm or their wrs. If Haynes gets going they’ll have to shift and do something different, which I don’t think they want to do, regardless of how good they think their corners are.

We’ve also noticed Butler and Rhule have a different defensive philosophy than Tony White. Not sure if it’s predicated on personnel or philosophy or both, but it’s obvious they’re willing to sacrifice some things in the run game to make sure the pass never beats them. In modern college football that makes sense. With our personnel that makes sense.
