Probably the best game we ever played under Frost too. What's your point? We still lost a game we had every chance to win. Our dipshit DC couldn't figure out after like five or six times they ran the same play to their tight end for a 1st down that the TE needed to be covered. I remember screaming at the TV when we had them in 3rd and 10 and they came out with the exact same formation that it was going to the TE. Sure enough 1st down easy peasy for them. We stop them on that play we most likely win.

I do have a point, but it's not really about the 2021 team.

I'm seeing a lot of fans who seem terrified by a match up with this 2025 Michigan team.

Much worse Nebraska teams have nearly beaten a vastly superior Michigan team in Lincoln. I don't quite understand why people are freaking out.

Because your average internet Nebraska fan is a sandy vagina. Most people don’t do the thorough research we do or have the proper understanding of football.

If we had a stout DL I'd be more comfortable. In another year they might be pretty good. As it is they are so young. Youth on the DL is not where you want to be usually.

The thing is, do we really think the teams on our schedule have the firepower to win a shootout against us?

We might have the best secondary in the Big 10. Top 3 minimum to this point. For the 1st time I feel like we have an offense that can win a track meet more often than not.

Edit: As it stands right now, every game we play we’re going to have the best player on the field with Raiola.

People are in my opinion giving too much weight to what we did to Akron and HCU and not enough weight to what happened when we played a team with a pulse. But by all means if you think we smash Michigan put your house payment on it. No?

Because until Nebraska gets the monkey off the back it doesn’t look promising. This Michigan team to me is really meh. Oklahoma should have beat them by 30, but years of disappointment plague our program. Also, not hard to see that we aren’t fantastic up front on D. Michigan is going to test that from the jump next Saturday. I think we will stay in it because of offense is decent, but crucial to make Underwood throw it.

I understand your point, I really do. However we have dominated start to finish the two teams we were supposed to. Last time that happened was probably 2013.

Outside of a couple bonehead plays/ missed assignments in week 1, we dominated Cincy. If we played that game 10 times, I’d bet the average score is around 38-10. We should have been up 31- 10 instead of 20-10 at that point in the game.

This team has showed a level of growth and intensity that has been missing from this team since Suh was on the roster. I’m not saying we’re going to go 16-0 but I think our secondary is better than Michigans receivers. I think we’ll be able to load the box and make them one dimensional which is the absolute opposite of Michigans DNA. I think if we spy Dasan on obvious passing downs and send pressure early and often, Undersood will get rattled.

We also haven’t played great defensive teams yet either. Cincy is ok, but most Big 10 teams are going to field better Ds and we struggled against them. If we get through Michigan I’ll be a little more optimistic, but truthfully hard to say that we aren’t fantastic going to get into shootouts after scoring points against super horrible teams. If we score 30+ against Michigan I’ll feel good about the remaining schedule.

This team has been doing what the last 10 haven’t up to this point. I think it’s time obvious that this team is not beholden to the sins of the previous teams.

But we didn’t struggle that much against Cincy? They did everything to shut down the vertical threat. Dylan took advantage of that. Get rid of a couple of mistakes that are prone to happen to most teams in week 1 and that game was never close.

I do understand the optimism based on the growth this team has clearly shown. I honestly don't have an opinion on the outcome. I can see it going either way or any number of ways. I do know that Michigan will come in 100% certain they will win.

As they should. Just like Nebraska is going to come out of the tunnel 100% certain they are going to win.

pump the breaks. Survived bad coaching at Cincy and smashed teams that were awful. Love the positivity, but reality starts Saturday. We aren’t matching up against FCS talent anymore.

You forget we also lucked out multiple times in that game with turnovers. If those go the opposite way everyone here is pissy. 20 points is a struggle against a meh Big 12 team. Next week will give us a much better picture of if we are improved as of now no one knows, but we do know we have some major holes in the front 7 and at RB.

Our defense causing turnovers is luck now?
