  • Pitt Tight End Commit Flips to Nebraska
  • Obviously won't be the last one. Some thought that he will end up at OT.
  • Nebraska has seven commits from Nebraska. That feels like a significant percentage of the state population... and also way too many.
  • How good could high school football be out there?
  • I looked the guy up on 247 and not trying to sours grapes it but... I think we will live.
  • Guy is ranked pretty low. Although if we scouted a guy in Nebraska of all places maybe our coaches were high on him to spend resources there.
  • We don’t have another TE recruit, and recently have by living by the transfer portal for any sort of depth at the position.
  • My gut tells me there is no plan B by the master recruiter Tim Salem, who’s been stealing a paycheck from this University for 9 years. This staff also celebrated when this kid affirmed his commitment in the fall.
  • His boss is stealing a bigger paycheck from Pitt
  • There are going to be more flips. Players watch the games. This offense sucks donkey balls and they aren't going to want to play in it.
  • Who cares. Nebraska dropped the ball at their 1 chance to be semi relevant this year by beating Colorado, and didn’t. There coach ran his mouth and then got his a*s kicked by Deion.

Oregon

  • Casey Rogers Return Specialist
  • I know if Tez goes down we have a reliable backup in Casey!!
  • I loved watching that big dude motor for the first down. Reminded me of Jr. High days where the big dude just got the ball and bulled everyone over to score a TD and was still standing in the end zone with three guys still trying to get him down.
  • I know it would never(? maybe Lanning at a fun time) but it sure would be fun to see!
  • Here's a maybe not so silly idea. After what we saw on that fake punt last week, Casey Rogers has nice first step acceleration.
  • He did play some TE in high school. Who wouldn't love to see a modified J14 package in an old fashioned T formation with Rogers

USC

  • B1G Venues
  • What B1G venue or venues you most looking forward to watching USC play at?
  • For me it’s at Penn St. for a “White Out” Game
  • The Horseshoe!
  • Rutgers because it’s the closest one to me and I can see the Trojans live for the first time!
  • Is it correct that USC has only been to the big house one time in their entire history?
  • Madison also looks fun.
  • Been to the Shoe, Nebraska and Minnesota. For me it is definitely the Big House, followed by Camp Randall for jump around, then Cockeye for the wave.
  • Probably the only trips I’d do are UM and OSU…..all-time classics.
  • Penn St.? Nah, I know what ‘white’ looks like
  • I will be able to see them at Ohio State, Michigan, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Cockeye, Penn State, Illinois, Northwestern and that’s exciting.
  • Will the B1G championship still be in Indianapolis?
  • I think the plan is that they're going to alternate between Indianapolis and Las Vegas for the championship.
  • I went to the Shoe for the MB7 come back FROSH game and went to the Nebraska game
  • Went to Nebraska also. Friendliest fans I’ve ever met. I’d go back there again too.

Indiana

  • How would you grade the B1G team additions...
  • From an athletics perspective (not based on academics, media $, etc.)? My takes: Penn State: A Nebraska: C+ Maryland: C- Rutgers: D
  • All F's, just hate the expansion Big 10 wise and nation wide
  • Nebraska D
  • Other than Penn State and Nebraska, they're all Fs.
  • How do you call Penn St an addition? They have been in the conference 30 years. They have been in the conference as long as I have been alive.
  • Nebraska F…they have no appreciation for how hard it is to win in the big ten.
  • Nebraska: C
  • It is funny to me how Nebraska fans behave. Since joining the B1G in 2011, Nebraska's conference winning percentage is 52.5%
  • I think Nebby has learned how hard it is now … With the smallest in state population … Huskers never could count on in state talent To fill the roster. Not playing in Texas makes recruiting there harder.
  • PAC schools will find the B1G tougher than they faced before and struggle the way Nebraska, Maryland, and Rutgers have.
  • I think Nebraska finally learned. You rarely find Nebraska fans who think that they will return to what they were even if things work out with rhule.
  • They used to run all over people with an offense that relies on an ultra athletic QB. In the big ten your QB will get hurt every time if you play that way.
  • I remember a game from 2018 when I didn’t think Purdue was very good at all. Nebraska hosted Purdue after playing Michigan and you could just see it all over Martinez. You could tell they beat him up. If not for that maybe Nebraska wins by 10. Kai Higgins and Geo Reviere were two of the worst starters I ever saw Purdue put on the field.

Rutgers

  • OT: Nebraska shares details for $450 million renovation plan to Memorial Stadium
  • Well that will certainly help with the sellout streak.
  • It’s not "one section" t's the ENTIRE south (?) end zone unavailable.
  • You’re right, I'll just say a big section, a really big section.
  • imagine what it would cost here to do the same. Their 450 mil would be at least a billion here.
  • This probably shows a heck of a lot more in Jersey: #8 Jersey and Nebraska is #48.
  • $1 Billion in NJ gets you a MetLife abomination for a stadium.
  • Every B1G team's Vegas Power Ranking entering Week 5
  • Currently I think RU should be ahead of Nebraska and Illinois
  • Matt Rhule is a great coach!
  • I wish that we could have gotten Matt Rhule as our coach. Look what he did for Temple and Baylor in a few short years.
  • The guy that is 2-2 at Nebraska?? With only wins against a G5 school? That Matt Ruhle?
  • The same Rhule who abandoned his team after three years (with 8 years left on his contract no less) for the NFL? He has a very clear history of jumping ship for greener pastures. If he were able to turn around RU, he'd be gone in a heart beat for a higher profile job.
  • It's crazy to think that a program with such a great history (as Nebraska's), with tons of support from fans/boosters, can't seem to get the HC right.
  • I could care less for Rhule… But this sounds like 2012.
  • Don't forget: 5-11, 5-11, 1-4 out in the NFL
  • Matt Rhule is a great coach with a record to prove it. Him being 1-2 this year is part of that pattern, too. He takes over reclamation projects, plays a lot of freshmen, and loses a lot of game in year one. The second season, they improve quite a bit, and by year three are ready to challenge for a conference championship. No reason he won't be able to get after that pattern again at Nebraska.
  • I would never criticize a college coach for taking an NFL head coach position. There are only 32 of them so you have to take the shot when it’s given.
  • Rhule will make Nebraska Rule!
  • Rhule has Nebraska fans fooled.
  • Rhule will put Nebraska in the cesspool. . . . oh wait, Scott Frost did that

Cockeye

  • Hawks will still win the West
  • We're gonna get rolled in Madison and Lincoln.
  • Cockeye will beat Nebby.
  • Like last year?
  • Last year, Nebraska had a very good receiving corp, capable passing QB, along with Cooper DeJean getting knocked out of that game early…none of which are in place/will happen this year. Have you watched Nebby play this year?
  • The Illini & Little Debbie with major injury issues
  • So now Nebby has more excuses for losing?
  • I caught a little of the NIU game last Sat - their fans were acting like it was NC game…pretty pathetic.
  • That'll happen when a fanbase gets so accustomed to their team tripping over their own dicks in every game. It's a big deal when it doesn't happen

Michigan State

  • What's Bo Pelini been up to?
  • I always liked the guy. Especially telling off the Nebraska fan base for being lame.
  • So a lock he's coming to MSU ? I'd like him
  • What’s Charlie Weis up to? We need a decided schematic advantage…
  • Pelini would log on here and rip everyone a new one.
  • He’s only 55??? Seems like he’s been around forever.
  • Dude has 9 lives…like a cat
  • Spartan Pussay
  • Those Nebraska teams always played extremely tough ball

Colorado

  • Nubs about to do a $450M renovation of Memorial Stadium. I'm seeing tweets that it would reduce capacity to 80,000.
  • An expensive way to keep that sellout streak going.
  • If they actually widen the seats to fit their average fans it will end up seating about 35,000.
  • You’d think that once you reach a size that your fat ass no longer fits in a chair, you’d maybe make some changes.
  • They do. They order a Diet Coke with the large fries and 2 Runza's

Northern Illinois

  • Replay of Nebraska Game?
  • I missed seeing most of the game. I went looking for a replay and found it at https://www.foxsports.com/replays. But, and this is a big but, the commercials on this replay are just too long and can't be fast-forwarded through. Sounds like a minor thing I know, but it will take 4+ hours to watch the game on that replay.
  • Watch the first 5 minutes and you’ll have a good idea how the rest of the game went.
  • You missed the game? Consider yourself lucky and move on. I just deleted it.
  • The game live was like that as well. It seemed like the amount of time in commercials was equal to the amount of time in the game. Like the whole thing was 1/2 commercials! Ridiculous.
  • You mean I can watch the game again? Are they trying to make us heavy drinkers or something?
  • College football, unless it is a HUGE game, is becoming very frustrating to watch with seven or eight (minimum) media times out a half. At about 3.5 minutes per that is literally almost the same amount of media time as it is game time.
  • And---it's just as frustrating in person. Those cold November nights are going be a joy sitting and watching two teams in massive huddles.
  • The game is posted on YouTube, 1 hour and 53 minutes
  • There is no way I will ever watch a replay of a game like the SIU or Nebraska game.
  • Thanks I found it, and was able to skim to the good parts..and since there were so few, it went fast. I actually tried to see if our O line play, RB and pass game were close to good plays at times, but there was nothing there. Ever.
  • I thought about checking it out myself but you've probably saved me the trouble.
  • I was thinking, they couldn't really even make a suitable highlight film from the last 2 games combined, at least on offense.

Louisiana Tech

  • GAME THREAD
  • They have a running QB, so it will be as bad as they want it to be.
  • 1Q nearly done and 0-0, didn't see that coming.
  • I believe we look better on offense today than in any other game this year.
  • Wow, can’t believe we are lucky to be tied with this terrible team at half.
  • Whichever team plays with the least and smallest mistakes will win
  • Why would any team not run the “I” ?
  • Cumbie continues his very questionable decision making in not getting Tech some points. Evidently he hasn’t smartened up from last game.
  • Obviously we never had a chance to win this but I hate when we don't take advantage of the opportunities we do get.
  • And the refs have taken completely over this game
  • The zebras have won this game. Not saying we would have won if the game was called fairly, but we'll never know because the refs have decided they want NU to win.
  • Boy, talk about quitting. This team has just quit.
  • Yeah, that's game. The Nebraska QB... NEBRASKA!... made a 72-yard rushing TD.
  • Would there be anything more pointless than a rain delay here
  • I hope this delay lasts for hours. It would serve everyone right for their bad deeds.
  • Defense gave up some yards but wasn’t a terrible performance. The game changed significantly on 2-3 plays that were influenced by the zebras.
  • The pass interference that they picked up the flag on was just as bad. I told my wife when they huddled up that they were going to do it, and they did.
  • I made the effort to check their game thread on their Rivals forum. There was unanimous opinion that Tech got screwed on that spot.
  • As for the NU game, I had predicted 38-13, so yeah, the Dawgs faired a tad better. Yippee! as moral victories are the best we can hope for, I am thrilled today!

Michigan

  • The Nebraska writer we spoke to predicts a pretty tight game between Michigan and Nebraska. Sean Callahan and HuskerOnline do a great job covering Nebraska.
  • I could see that. Tend to think if it's a 10 point game it would be even more low scoring but maybe he's factoring in some sort of special teams or defensive play that generates points.
  • These guys are bad. It will be incredibly disappointing if it's a 10-point game. Their defense is vastly overrated and their offense can do 1 thing which plays into the best part of our defense that is not overrated at all.
  • I can't see a one-dimensional team scoring 17 points on this defense unless Michigan sets them up on a short field due to turnovers or special teams' breakdowns....
  • Vegas expects something like a 28-10 outcome. That feels about right.
  • I think Michigan mauls them 33-9
  • 27-17 is about what I’d predict.
  • what is he smoking ? 42-7
  • Wow...so they can't pass at all and will basically be a run team and he thinks they can put up 17 points?? thats ambitious.
  • These are the games that scare me with the new clock rules, if they somehow get ahead, they will just bleed the clock.
  • That assumes they have success running the ball. I think we limit them to around 100 yards rushing and force them to pass more than they want.
  • Nebraska has played exactly one team that maybe *emphasis on maybe* isn't complete garbage, and they lost.
  • Michigan better come to play. Matt Rhule can coach. And just because they’ve had some weak opponents, their defense is still looking really good.
  • Didnt they expect a total victory last time??? Are these the same guys as last year? Their guess prognostications suck lately!! Guess that's called homerism!!! lol MSU rubbing off on them? I say 28-7
  • Hey, maybe the 11th best scoring offense in the Big Ten will just show out vs. the best scoring defense in the nation....It could happen...and monkeys could fly out of my butt
  • I suspect we will start slow but be up like 27–10 when the 4th quarter rolls around.
  • If this game is close, we will not beat PSU or OSU for that matter. Heck, might not even beat Sparty. Nebraska DOES NOT HAVE A PULSE offensively. They are TRASH
  • Which Nebraska team got replaced here? The one that stunk on O against Minny, was horse crap against CO, or struggled against the mighty MAC and AAC next opponents?
  • I suspect the Nebraska run defense is for real. I also suspect that Michigan's run game may not be as good as we hoped. Michigan likely will either play their best game of the year and pull away or it's going to be closer than any of us would like.
  • Seriously. I expect Michigan to sit back and force them to complete passes. No need to get super aggressive playing the run and one safety high.
  • Rhule is a good coach. They’ll have a great first half script. Outside of that? Good luck.
  • Our defense is not good if we give up 23 pts to this Nebraska team.
  • I might have to lower my season expectations if we only win by 10 and give up 17. I’d have to see how the game played out, but that would be pretty disappointing.
  • Nebraska on the road can be loud but I doubt this team is much better than Rutgers if at all.
  • Nebraska is likely our toughest game before PSU
  • Stop. They suck
  • They got blown out by Colorado and lost to a bad Minnesota team. Just stop
  • Nebraska has a good defense, but no passing game whatsoever, and let’s not go crazy on tbeir defense-they wore down against Colorado eventually.
  • Nebraska’s offense is unbelievably bad. The new quarterback has thrown for 135 yards per game in his two starts - against Louisiana Tech and Northern Illinois. They live or die on their running game which probably means that they are already dead against Michigan
  • We’ll destroy this Nebraska version. QB is one dimensional, run-first. They’re also down their top 2 RBs.
  • I suspect that Rutgers is better than Nebraska. Both teams can play some defense and neither throws it very well, but Rutgers looks significantly stronger on the OL
  • The entire Big 10 is literally trash outside of the obvious 3 and…. Maryland
  • People need to slow the roll on how good Nebraska’s defense is, they have yet to play a good offense
  • Nebraska stinks.
  • Seems like Vegas thinks Nebraska is a touch better than Rutgers, where the point spread was at least a TD more.
  • Nebraska is a complete dumpster fire

Michigan fans saying Nebraska hasn't played anyone good (considering their OOC schedule was way easier).

Or, that’s how fans cheer a team for winning a game. Rather than your miserable lives being in lowa.
