I’m going to north central Kansas this weekend around Hays area (Otis) for a baptism. I’ve heard Weller is much easier to get down there, I’ll be going south through York down to Salina and west on i70 is my planned route, any liquor store there that I would have my best chance to find it? If I can find a good stash I might also snag a couple extra bottles for anyone that wants one. Specifically I’m looking for the 12 year and the antique.

I’ve heard the same mostly for special reserve but no idea where to look

Is wall 2 wall owned by Hyvee? If so probably have a legit case because they are always deceptive in their marketing, surprised they havent had a massive lawsuit.

I had always thought they were but wasn’t 100% sure. Found this in the article when I looked up the lawsuit

I’m staying in Hoisington, and drove down to Great Bend. Drove around to 4 liquor stores there and no luck. They all said they have been having trouble getting it lately too.

I’ve had three or four of their different bottlings, and all are solid. I haven’t had any of their ‘high end’ stuff yet, but I’m not sure I want to spend $150 on an unknown.

I have some old, pewter Wild Turkey decanters. The ones from 1980 and 1986 had 8 year 101 from those years still in them, so I cracked those over the weekend. Still delicious!

For anyone in the Northeast part of the state, specifically West Point area, I was just getting groceries at the dollar fresh in West Point and they have a bottle of eagle rare behind the counter for the low low price of $99.99. Had it been around $50-$60 I would have thought about it but not that price myself.

Ridiculous markup. Msrp is like $35. If the bourbon bust is coming like some predict then I hope it wipes out greedy liquor stores. Even crazier it was a grocery store charging that markup
