I think Pollard as AD would help with that hire, but I don't think him declining the AD gig puts us out of the running if we went after Campbell. Now if Pollard jumped to Michigan or any other school looking to make a coaching change after this year, that changes things.
ISU is in a sinking ship of a conference. If he was ever looking for a legit excuse to get out of Ames after waxing poetic about how much he loves it, OU and Texas gave him the perfect out.
But in terms of things Nebraska can control, it all comes down to how Turd sells the program. If Turd has to make a coaching change, Frost just did him a huge solid by making his firing look even more justifiable. This won't be a Solich/Pelini axing. It's fucking warranted. Sell the new facilities, sell the built in advantages with media and recruiting resources, and add enough zeroes to the check.
