I think Alabama will regret taking the Notre Dame kid instead of Thompson. Could see him end up at Florida or Auburn. He's better than any QB on either of their rosters.

I don’t think Casey totally fits Rhule’s vision for the offense and it doesn’t make sense for Casey to stick around in a potential QB battle, so I get it. I wish we could have made it work with him.

I honestly just think Jeff Sims is viewed as a better player than Casey Thompson by this staff.

He looked pretty dang good in the spring game, he can run the ball some. I hate Thompson is leaving because I think he's a good player. But Rhule and Co are rolling with Sims, and to be fair they've seen Sims in their offense and not Thompson.
