De’Leon’s will always hold a special place in my heart. We would always drive out to the West O location at 2am in high school back when it was the only spot they had. Now they have like four locations in Swimtown, including one on Saddle Creek that’s like a 3 minute drive from my house.24/7 Mexican place that only has a few locations (we thought only in Lincoln but I guess they obviously have branched out)
Look… it’s not great, some might not even call it “good” (the Mexican food truck in Columbus would spit on this food in disgust) however it holds a nostalgic spot in the hearts and minds of many UNL students/Alumni.
@Elizabeth Reed is absolutely correct West O location is the GOAT.
One time my wife and I were there at 3am and we watched 2 fat Mexican cooks on a smoke break do shots of Tequila in the parking lot. Wife loved how they were fat and authentic immigrants. (Smoking Cigs and drinking on the job without a care in the world)
Omg i just realized it’s Cinco de Mayo, I’m going tonight.De’Leon’s will always hold a special place in my heart. Their breakfast burritos are pretty good and the steak ranchero breakfast is solid, but the hot sauce is like red liquid crack. Even though there are better options in Omaha for Mexican I’ll always try to go there at least once a month even if just for the sake of nostalgia.
Only thing I’ve ever got from there no matter what time of day it isTheir breakfast burritos are pretty good
Belleville getting soaked. 👍
She's a soggy bitch around here now boys.
You've just created the greatest trivia question, though admittedly rather obscure as in no one would ever get it except you. What do the chateaux of the former French kings in the Loire Valley of France have in common with the Gove County building? They both mow the lawn with goats. You know you're getting close to the castles because you can smell them a quarter of a mile away. Sweaty goats. Woof.Never been to the cafe but last week I met the woman who will probably be the next Frontier County Sheriff.
I’ve had to go to the courthouse in Stockville twice and every time it just makes me laugh. (population is like 20)
It makes Gove City Kansas (county seat of Gove County) actually look like a “city” with its 80 people. PS: the County building is in the old school house and to mow the grass around the school they rotate goats through. Western Kansas is just a magical place @Woodrow F Call @Bootleg11

I have a soft spot for that original location as well. We went quite a bit my freshman year when we had someone sober enough to drive.De’Leon’s will always hold a special place in my heart.
